Answer all parts of the question:

You are working for the McDonalds UK. You just got a position of Regional West Midlands Manager, overseeing all branches in the region. You are tasked with writing a research report for your Director which needs to include:

1. Research on the West Midlands region and its population
2. Research on competitors in the market, and competitors in your region
3. Design a questionnaire which will be used to gather data on customer satisfaction with various branches of McDonalds in your region
4. Discuss various advantages and disadvantages of questionnaires as a research tool

Attach your questionnaire as an attachment to your report.

Include a list of References and Bibliography
You must include a range of research in all answers, this may include relevant concepts and theories from text books, journal articles, websites, market research databases such as Mintel, company or industry sources. Research should be referenced using Harvard Referencing style.

Demonstrate an understanding of the similarities and differences between primary and secondary research.
Retrieve data from the National Statistics website (www.ons.gov.uk) Mintel and other databases relevant to a given marketing brief.
Apply a range of analysis to information and data retrieved from various databases

    The second largest cause of death in our country is obesity because you know what they say, “Everything is bigger in America.” Just about anyone can drive a mile from his or her house to find some sort of fast food restaurant and there’s a good chance that the first one you would see is a McDonalds. Being located at every exit as well as many in your hometown makes in very hard to get away from McDonalds. This is because McDonalds controls almost 50 percent of the fast food market. This is a considerably large amount when you think about all the fast food restaurants out there. McDonalds top sellers are greasy, fattening food packed with high calories and fat that is harmful to your body. As a restaurant that serves millions each day there needs to be a change in the food they are serving. There’s a reason that obesity is one of the largest killers because it is just too easy to drive thru a McDonalds and get a cheeseburger that’s loaded with saturated fat and 600+ calories. McDonalds should make their food healthier because McDonalds is a large contributor to the obesity rate in our country.…
