What is righteousness? This may seem like a simple question to answer but for many in today’s society it is not. If you were to ask anyone what is the definition of righteousness, do you think that they could give you an honest answer? I think not. BUT WHY. It is simply because they themselves are living in a world which is filled with corruption, injustice, betrayal, cheat, greed, murder and violence.
Corruption happens in almost every working sector. Some examples of working sectors which go through corruption would be the teaching field, the police and the accounts department. Sometimes a parent would bribe the headmaster of a college to accept their child. A policeman would take bribe from a drunken driver and let him go. There is already a special branch called Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission which investigates and prosecutes corruption in the public and private sectors. We can inform the MACC if we know anyone who is giving or taking bribe.
Injustice is even worse than corruption as it happens almost everywhere. Injustice can happen to anyone. Let me tell you a story on injustice. THERE was an old man who spended all his life TAKING CARE of his one and only son. After his son’s marriage the old man went to live at his son’s house. The wife did not like having the old man around as she had to do a lot of extra work .one day the wife told her husband to send his father away to an old folks home. The man agreed. the next morning, he told his father that they were sending him to a better place and put him in a basket .the man had a 7 year old son, Who wanted to come along .after they left the old man and was going to leave his son stopped him and said”Dad why don’t you bring this basket back home, so that when you are old I can put you in this basket and send you away to” do you think what the man DID TO HIS FATHER was right? Isn’t this injustice to the
