Kindergarten Classroom Observation

One of the greatest things about college is the fact that what we learn is tied to observable experiences that we have. I have seen this most in my time at Benjamin Franklin Elementary school, where I observe a Kindergarten classroom. This brings about the point that I did not get to experience a toddler and preschool learning environment. I first noticed the curricula in the classroom, and how much it matched up with the curricula we discussed in class. Their curriculum was very hands on, open, and positive. It is very important to keep the children motivated and included. My teacher followed this by encouraging open discussion, where every child’s opinion was heard.
