Key Communication skills that Foster effective learning Teams Communication skills are very important in learning teams. Communication strengthens learning teams. One communication skill that fosters effective learning teams is creating a team charter. A team charter is very important in a learning team. Team charters are a list of contact information and also shows teammates parts. It is very important for each team member to have effective communication skills. Communication is important amongst teams so that everyone can understand their part of the assignment well. It is also important for every team member to be comfortable in communicating with each other. Team members that are comfortable with communicating in their team have a better chance of making a good grade. Good communication also shows that everyone on the team is putting in effort. Another communication skill that fosters effective learning teams knows your teammates strengths and weakness. Knowing your teammates strengths and weakness will show what pats your teammates need help with. Team support is also important in effective learning teams. Team support also helps a person with their confidence in completing the group assignment. A team that communicates well also helps group members solve any problems in the correct way. “The composition and distribution of roles in a team are relevant characteristics that will considerably improve the learning experience for students. A balanced role distribution will make the group work better having higher learning results” (Bermejo, M., Sanchez, A., Gutierrez, J. & Perez, T.A. (2011). Working in learning teams will help a person work in teams better. Working in teams also help people communicate better amongst their teammates. Working in teams also helps team members learn new ideas from one another. Even though working in teams brings new ideas and thoughts.
