Nicole was wearing a brown backless dress with her hair up in a bun with a red flower. Derek was wearing a black. They danced a tango song I believe i never heard of it. I couldn’t tell between them which one was the professional dancer they both were so amazing. I would rate them a ten they didn’t mess up once and made the dance look romantic.

I would rate them a ten.

I was very impressed with the acrobatics and choreography which showed great dedication on the company’s part. With my experience in Avenue Q, I know how much time and work it takes to even learn and perfect a simple dance, so I would really like to appreciate and recognize the dedication and hard work of the actors and choreography of the company. I think those elements must have been a big part of the director’s vision and that the director must…

The first thing that caught my eyes was the colorful and unique dance regalia or outfit worn by the dancers. Bright colors such as yellow, orange, red, and light blue wrapped around the dancers beautifully. The older looking male dancers were wearing the feather warbonnets on the head and bustles on the back. Dancers with striking multicolored beaded and fringed outfits were crowding the dance floor. Some of the female dancers dressed simple with their colorful fringed shawls. I noticed that some dancers even had bells attached to their ankles or dance outfits that they wore. I also was told that the feathers and leathers used were inherited from their father up to their great grandfather. The sight was so magnificent – it made me excited to stay for the show.…

The lighting effects used were alternating pulses between two and three orange lights on the psyche. The light’s timing matched the song and the color matched the dancers outfit. The style of dance for this piece was jazz with a few hip hop and lyrical incorporations. Of the six elements of choreography, three stood out to me: levels, group relationships and size of movements. Similarly to “One Dance” many transitions from high to medium and low levels such as hip sways, dips, turns, kicks, rolls, drops, flips, splits, laying down, rolls, turns, leaps, flips and tilts were used. The group relations in this piece can also be juxtaposed to “Words of a Love Song”. Performing this piece took a group effort; this dance featured several roll offs and partner styled moves. At some point during the dance, everyone had a solo moment and variations of the same movs were used between the girls. For majority of the dance, large, technically advanced moves were used and the girls used levels and traveling to cover as much space as possible. The professionalism was well in this dance. There were moments where someone may have been too early or late, but no real mistakes were made. The dancers were precise and went full out. You could tell they were performers. I liked this piece, it was sassy, fun and…

What i first noticed when I first entered the performance center was a duet dancing slowly. The girls’ costume was a purple color and she was wearing a tank top and a flowy skirt. The male dancer was wearing simple purple pants that were obviously moveable. I particularly noticed the lighting that was on the floor. On the floor seemed to be a projection of snowflakes and cool blue lighting on top.…

It was up close and personal. All I could do is reminisce on the discipline of my dance training as I wiggled in my seat with anticipation waiting for the curtain to rise. I could write about the performance from beginning to end, but I choose not to. However, I do want to write about a segment of the performance that evoked a riveting, yet somber mood that struck me to my core. Home. There were seven acts, some of groups and some soloists, who picked their own song and performed it. For the most part, the contestants picked older songs that they knew their audience of various ages would recognize. Their performances was incredible! They danced and signed to the tempo of the song and were dressed according to their song style and story told within. It was truly an experience. After the contestants performed, the audience was given the opportunity to cast a vote for their favorite performance. The group that I picked did not win, but I had such a hard time voting to begin with because all of them were so good, that I was happy with the contestants that did win. I am so glad that I went.
