Personal Ethics Statement

As I completed the Work Culture Preferences activity, I was patiently waiting for the results that I was about to receive. My final results were that I am competitive, teamwork centered, and high powered. I was so shocked and amazed at these results because I agree with them 100%. I am very competitive in everything that I do. I love to work in a team setting because I am presented with various ideas and feelings from other people. I am definitely high powered because I am demanding, whether it is for making more money on a job, searching for a great career, or even when it comes to learning new and exciting skills. My results do match with what I consider my ideal work culture because I thrive on passing challenges that my career my bring. I do believe that there is a relationship between effective study habits and techniques and being successful in those work cultures because I know that in order to survive in this work culture, I must study the industries and what they have to offer. I will have to gain and utilize certain techniques to maintain my relevancy in the cultures in order to become successful. My ethical perspective, according to the ELI, was that my blind spot was belief that motive justifies method or overconfidence in process. My strengths were self –awareness and justice. My weakness was being autocratic or authoritarian. I do believe that personal ethics play a role in academics because it shows the methods that I use to become successful in my courses. They play a role in the workplace because it helps me make decisions based on knowledge of the industry and it helps me to become successful. My ethical perspective and my ideal work culture are connected by the my high powered mentality that enables me to become an authoritarian, They are also in connection with one another because my ethical perspective can help me dominate my ideal work culture and

    After completing the Work Culture Preferences my results reflected that I am high powered, supportive, and well resourced. The results indicate that I enjoy high paying demanding jobs with rapid career advancement as well as chances to learn new skills and try different jobs.
