Her reward is saving Duval. Since Ismae is immune to poison because she's the daughter of death (page 5), she learns that she can draw the poison from Duvals body (page 530-531) in which save his life.“When I open my eyes, I see his skin is no longer has the grey palor that heralds death” Ismae. For road back it's that Ismae is riding back to save Duvals life. For resurrection Ismae don't actually die in the book. But for resurrection you don't have to die.
