Is Technology Ruining Our Society?
Technology is something we use every day in our daily lives whether we like it or not. From the moment, we wake up we start using technology by checking the time on our phones or alarms to brushing our teeth with an electric toothbrush. Technology has become a big part of our society and it’s going to keep improving later in the future. For some people that is a good thing but for others it is a bad thing. We are always going to have those people who just can’t stand technology and others who will die for it. Technology can definitely have its advantages but at the same time its disadvantages. For an example in the article “How Technology Affects Human Relationships,” the author explains how technology ruined a married couple relationship. “Stan sees that whole relationship as something that started and developed entirely online. He’s convinced his ex-wife’s behavior would have manifested at some point, but technology drove the two of them apart faster” (Krammer). Stan relationship with his wife would have been fine if wasn’t for technology. What can make your life more difficult than having a rough day at work and coming home to finding out your partner is cheating on you? Another reason why technology can make our life more difficult is by cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is the use of technology communication to bully someone. There are some people that get bullied at school and they don’t want to bring it to any one’s attention because they might face some consequences. Just when they are having a bad day at school getting bullied, they go home to relax and get away from all their problems at school and BOOM! As soon as they get on their social media they see some hurtful things talking about them or a picture making fun or exposing them. Technology is just making our life harder than it should be. We already have enough problems on our table and technology is not making it any
