The title of our investigatory project is “Lanzones Peel as Mosquito Coil”. This study aims to find out if Lanzones Peel can really repel mosquitoes and help us reduce the number of people who have mosquito bourne disease.

The researchers dried the lanzones peels and after that, we pulverized it using mortar and pestle then we mixed it with cornstarch and water. After the mixing process we molded it in a spiral shape. And we put it in the oven for five minutes.

The researchers, use a questionnaire which answers if the mosquito is effective to repel mosquitoes. It is answered by Yes and No to view the subjected analysis of our product. The rspondents are requested to use the mosquito coil we made in about one week and given a survey and answer the questions. The statistical data will be interpreted in percentage. RESULT

The researchers concluded that the lanzones peels ARE truly effective in driving away mosquitoes. The mosquito coil we made is also environmentally friendly and is made from natural ingredients. It is recommended as an alternative mosquito repellant which can be as effective as the commercially sold one. Also, further study is needed to improve the weaknesses of the product.

Background of the Study:

The seeker has reached such a problem for many of us in danger because of disease carrying mosquitoes. We want to verify that our research would be effective extermination of mosquitoes around us. And ultimately we want to help people to save money.

- To produce a insect repellant out of a lanzones peel

Statement of the Problem:

1. Does lanzones peelings effective in repelling mosquitoes?

2. How long is the effectivity of the product?

3. What are the characteristics of lanzones peelings that drive away mosquitoes?

← Lanzones peelings can be effective in repelling mosquitoes.

← Lanzones peelings can’t be effective in repelling mosquitoes.

Significance of the study:

This research project is important in order for us to know whether or not the mixture of lanzones peel and other ingredients have an effect and can repel mosquitoes. Also our product is important so that we can utilize the lanzones peelings which are usually thrown away.
