1. Origin of the report:
Internship is a part of the BBA program of the department of Business Administration of Leading University. Here, one report is necessary to justify our work in internship. The report was assigned by the department. The topic of the report is “a study on customer services in Bank Alfalah in the Sylhet Branch.”
Banking sector is expanding its hand in different financial event every day. At the same time the banking process is becoming faster, easier and the banking arena is becoming wider. As the demand for better service increased day by day, they are coming with different innovative ideas & products. In order to survive in the competitive field of the banking sector, all banking organizations are looking for better services opportunities to provide their following clients. As general banking includes all the deposits, cash, clearing, & transfer, so it is most important.
2. Aim of the Report:
I am a student of BBA (Finance and Accounting) conducting internship at Bank Alfalah Limited, Sylhet branch. I was placed to gain a real life work experience for a period of three months to find out the way it operates. The aim of this report is to provide the reader the guideline through which they can able to gain a general knowledge about the products and services of the bank. I have rendered time for three months. In this time of span, I have observed the activities of the bank and try to make a quantitative analysis for my study. After completion of my time, I have prepared this report on the analysis I have made. I have tried my best to make this report as successful as possible.
At the last part of the BBA program every student should have to do an internship in a reputed organization. After compilation the internship program everybody should have to submit a report. The main objectives was - i. To gather practical experience.
ii. To become acquainted with the functions and services provided by the organization. iii. To knows their marketing strategies for serving in the competition. iv. To know about the problem and barriers they are facing in the way of doing banking functions. v. To be familiar with their training and development programs. vi. To develop the report writing skill.
I have done my internship in Bank Alfalah Ltd. Bank Alfalah Ltd have 05 branches all over Bangladesh. They appointed me at Mirabazar Branch in Sylhet. So I had the opportunity to work in that branch only 5. Methodology:
A wide range of literature will reviewed to gather necessary information about the subject matters of this study. These literatures include the texts, profile, annual reports, documentation; different Manuals etc. The data collected for this study was the mean s of a survey. The survey will be done on the customers and staff of the Bank by personal observation and interview and some data will be collected from the journal and website of Bank Alfalah Ltd. A thorough and insightful observation will be conducted on the various Administrative, Interventional and Marketing philosophies, approaches and practices to collect necessary information. Discussion with the staffs and other related
Persons to generate standard information for the study are also a comprising tool and also important instructions from the project supervisor. Collection of primary data: I have collected many of the data and information from my practical experience and queries from the officers while doing my internship at Bank Alfalah Ltd. Information and data regarding products & services, banking operations, organization structure, management personnel and policies were collected from this source.
