Attack Your Day" by Mark Woods was a good workbook exercise that will help me to be more productive in my life. The book was just not for me going to college but it had something for a walks of life whether you are a business executive, homemaker, educator, pastor, employee, self-employed, student, or whatever, there is something in the book that will benefit you. Lists help organize things by importance and act as a reminder to finish tasks I might leave behind. Personally when I complete tasks on my lists I feel a sense of accomplishment and have more desire to tackle some of the harder tasks on my list. I will begin to implement this time management skill with this class, and carry it over to block 2 through Gateway Community College.…

Forest, President Phoenix Advertising 112 South Front Street Charlotte, NC 12345-6789 Dear Mr. Forest: Until the 4th quarter of 2010 the Roanoke branch had consistently ranked in the top 90th percentile with regards to productivity. They have received numerous coveted awards including “Most Innovated Advertiser”. Unfortunately there is evidence of some contention among the employees, which has resulted in a 20% decrease in productivity. In my capacity as Vice President of Human Resources, I have met with Kristina Jarrett, CEO of the Roanoke branch along with all of the employees and various clients. There seems to be a very serious breakdown communication, which has not only resulted in a decrease in production, but has also led to very low employee morale. I present to you and the team, the following proposal for returning this branch to its exemplary position in the advertising world. Background In the first three quarters of 2010, the Roanoke branch was one of our highest production sites and was responsible for 80% of our excellent standing in the advertising community. Unfortunately, in the last three months due to a breakdown in communication between management and the various departments, we have lost an account executive and an art director and many of our esteemed clients have threatened to take their business elsewhere. On January 10, 2011 I visited the Roanoke Branch to conduct an investigation regarding recent client complaints, excessive overtime, and compensation issues. My investigation identified the following problems: 1. Communication is the core problem at the Roanoke branch. Management does not subordinate any information, which gives the impression that it is ok to proceed as you wish and that it is acceptable to work independently and not as…
