HW 2 Reviewing business plans 2

Go to http://www.bplans.com/samples/sba.cfm or www.bplans.com to look at free sample business plans and complete the following:
1. Read through any three business plans that seem intriguing or interesting to you.
List them below:
a) Property Management- Development / Real Estate Brokerage

b) Funeral Services

c) Diamonds Gems and Precious Stones

2. Describe three overall reactions or observations that you had to the business plans that you examined. (e.g., What surprised you? What confused you? What patterns did you notice? What was similar/dissimilar between the plans? etc.) Your comments should be directed to all three business plans, taken as a whole. Do not evaluate the specific ideas in the plans but rather focus on the plans themselves.

1) I believe money cannot really buy you happiness but it can definitely give access to different ways by which you will stay/become happy. I chose these three plans because this is what has interested me the most since my childhood. Its just because although things like diamonds are just mere stones at the end of the day but they for human beings have become a way to show one’s affection or a bond with the other person. Same goes the case with funeral services where you can cherish the moments spent with the dear soul by talking about his things and calling all the near and dear ones at a place for a social gathering.

2) The similarity that I noticed between my two business plans; i.e. “Real Estate Broker” and “Diamonds gems and precious stones” is that no matter what happens, people are always going to buy and sell Properties and diamonds. Since forever things like Real estate and precious gems are a symbol of prosperity.

3) The thing that surprised me was when I researched about Funeral Services and Homes in Usa. Even though the market for Funeral homes is quite big in the Usa but not much is done till now. Comparing this to the Asian Markets, I believe Funeral Homes in the Usa have a really large market to be explored. Also one thing, which I have researched about on my own, is combining the idea of funeral services and precious gems.
