we have at first definition of stragic planning: the company's plans for how it will match its internal strengths and weakness with external opportunities and threats in order to maintain a competitive advantage. The process of stragic planing:1. define the current business 2.perform internal external audits 3.formulate a new direction 4.translate the mission into goals 5.formlate strategies to achieve the stragic goals 6.inplement the strategies 7.evaluate performance. and stragic management is the process of identifying and executing the organization strategic plan by matching the company's capabilities with the demands of its environment.
* improving productivity through HRIS by using computerized planning software. *types of strategies are corporate wide strategies planning , business unit strategic planning and functional strategic planning. corporate level strategy type that identifies the portfolio of businesses that comprise the company and the ways in which these businesses relate to each other. competitive strategy identifies how to buil and strengthen the business's long term competitive position in the marketplace.
*Human resources as a competitive advantage, any factors that allow an organization to differentiate its product or service from those of its competitors to increase market share. functional strategy that identifies the broad activities that each department will pursue in order to help the business accomplish its competitive goal.
