How to Lose Weight
How to Lose Weight Losing weight is not easy. Nowadays, lots of people are not satisfied with their weight. They always want to get much slimmer than before. We can find various ways to lose weight on TV programs or from books and websites. However, more than half of people do not know how to lose weight in an efficient and healthy way. A common way of losing weight is to go on a diet. People eat a little food or do not eat anything for a meal. When they successfully achieve an ideal weight, they may hurt themselves at the same time. According to those situations, do they have other options for losing weight? The answer is “yes”. Once people learn how to get started a proper diet and exercise program, they will be able to see a big improvement in their health and weight control. Weight loss plans can be divided into two parts, diet and exercise, and weight loss requires dedication and effort for a long period of time until people are satisfied with the results. First, contrary to many people’s belief, we should eat breakfast regularly. We all have heard at some point in our lives that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. While people who drink a cup of coffee for breakfast may think they are avoiding eating some calories, in fact, this is likely to be detrimental to their weight loss. A healthy breakfast such as cereal can make people feel full for a longer period of time and keep blood sugar and insulin levels stable. Research shows that regular breakfast eaters tend to be leaner, and dieters are more successful at losing weight and keeping it off when they eat breakfast. Then, we should eat fewer calories by choosing the type and amount of food and drinks we have, but we can eat more fruits and vegetables. They are relatively lower in calories and also a rich source of antioxidants, so we can get more nutrition in these foods.
Next, effective exercises are an essential part of a healthy weight loss program. Bicycling, swimming, distance running are most popular kinds of exercise. We need to do thirty minutes of exercise every day. No matter which of exercises for losing weight we choose, we will surely be on the right track for losing weight and toning our body. Making a commitment to losing weight can be a big step, and once people have made it, they desire to see results as soon as possible. However, losing weight fast is not the healthy option. The healthiest way to lose weight is neither crash diets nor the bursts of exercise. The body likes slow changes in terms of food and exercise. If people want to be fit and healthy, they need to work out these several tips such as paying attention to diet and doing exercises regularly. Then they would create a healthy lifestyle and healthy habits.

Many people take the easier route, which they believe is dieting. The statistics for the long term success of dieting alone is poor so you need to consider dieting and exercise. Statistics say only about 5% of dieters are successful in keeping weight off, and re-gain is very common. Usually one-third of weight lost is regained within one year. In three to five years all the weight has been regained along with some additional weight. If you start exercising to lose weight, you won’t succeed with the mentality of “I can eat anything because I’ll burn it off later.” You will have better results if you choose a healthy diet of whole grains, fruits and vegetables, lean proteins and healthy fats while exercising.…

    The Day Myth

A widespread component of the breakfast debate is the possibility of a link between skipping the early-morning meal and gaining weight or losing weight. However, no such link has actually been proven. There have been numerous studies that have researched the correlation. One study published in the Journal of American Dietetic Association noted that while “breakfast eaters generally consumed more daily calories” and “were less likely to be overweight”, a limited number of their studies could palpably “associate breakfast skipping with overweight” (Rampersaud et al. 2005). Another study done by Emily J. Dhurandhar et al found that “contrary to widely espoused views [eating or skipping breakfast] had no discernable effect on weight loss in free-living adults who were attempting to lose weight” (Dhurandhar et al. 2014). Many believe in this correlation, and thus consider eating breakfast to be the most important meal of the day in terms of assuring weight loss. However, studies have not proven these theories, and correlation does not equate to causation. Just because an individual skips breakfast, does not guarantee they will eat more throughout the day and gain weight. If that individual is vegan and consumes fruits, vegetables, and wholesome foods throughout the day, there is a chance that these foods will fill them up more, and be easier to…
