Are you thinking about making a website? There are many places online that offer internet users a free website. Some web hosting companies also offer free website hosting; Hosting simply provides the server, programming, and information needed for other people to view your site. They provide easy to use website templates for your convenience. These templates are web page designs that you get to pick and design. Most web hosting companies also offer different modules that you can use on your site to enhance the look and make it people friendly. I will provide basic information for you to take to complete your website.
Things you’ll need: * Computer * Time * Internet
Find a free website host. There are many website hosting companies online. Some of the hosting companies that most people have used is Office Live, Google and Webs.com. Office Live is a website host that is ran by Microsoft. They offer free hosting and a free website just like Google and Webs. Office live and Google offer ad-free websites to their customers. This means that they will not place their advertisements on your website like Webs does. If you choose a free website through webs.com and you want the ads removed, you need to upgrade your site.
Create your free website account. Whichever hosting company you choose for your website, you need to follow the sign-up process using your personal information including your email address. Write down all of your information as you are signing up for your account. Many people are unable to login to their sites because of forgotten sign-up information.
Take your time when choosing your website name. Write your site address (url) down and keep it somewhere safe, maybe you are wondering what is url it is the address of a web page on the world wide web With a website that is free, you need to let the hosting company include their name in the website address or domain name. You can later purchase a "custom" domain name
