Following Directions

Following directions is very important for a number of reasons. It makes things easier to do, it guarantees that things are done right, it eliminates confusion, and it saves a lot of time overall. When the instructions of the teacher are followed, things tend to go smoothly and work well. When we, the students, do things the right way and follow directions, we show that we can handle instructions to difficult assignments and that we are cooperative, intelligent, and dependent. Anything can be messed up when the directions are not followed and when respect isn’t given.

If instructions are not followed properly, a lot of chaos and frustration will come in any situation. For students to follow directions properly, we have to be quiet, listen for directions the first time, and ask questions if we need to. If we don’t follow the instructions that are given to us, the task at hand will be much more difficult in many ways. Things that are done right the first time won’t have to be done again. If things are done right the first time, we can move on to more tasks.
Plus, if you are in a team and you are the only one that doesn’t follow instructions, the whole team will suffer on numerous levels. Rules and instructions have to be followed for people to do a job successfully. Following instructions are important because if you don’t follow instructions, then the goals that have to be met won’t be met. Many children can still receive bad or poor grades even if they are smart children. This is because of their failure to follow directions of the teachers, work, or tests. Following directions is always important because the need for it shows up during many things besides school.
