First Day At My New School.
On my first day at my new school, I expect many new things to happen as well. Many routines had to be changed too. I had to wake up earlier than usual to prepare for school because the new school was four bus-stops away from my house.

Ring, ring, ring, my alarm clock started to go off.

One part of me wanted to sleep for a few more minutes while another wanted to head to school immediately. Somehow or rather, I got myself to the bathroom to get ready for school. It was a new term and on every first day of school, I would ask myself what I want to achieve at the end of the whole term. This time, my goal was to stay healthy. With this mentality, I reached my new school.

During assembly, I hang around with the close friends. We started class soon after a warm welcome from the principal. We were introduced to our form teacher for the year and I felt she was understanding. She wanted our class to bond and she came up with a surprise game. My class sure had fun together.

After a few hours of class, I rushed for recess as usual. To my surprise again, there was pizzas for sale. Never would I imagine that pizzas would be sold in our school canteen! I shared a large pizza with a few of my friends. It tasted delicious. Since our recess duration was extent, there was still some time left for a match of basketball.

The second bell rang and everyone rushed back to their respectively classes. This lesson was Geography lesson which I do not enjoy most. A new teacher step into the classroom and her fierce looking face really scared my class to total silence. She told us she has seen our Geography results for last year and told us if we work with her, we would be able to achieve better results. Everyone started to jeer at the teacher. In the end, the teacher managed to convince us.

Not expecting any challenges to happen on this peaceful first day of school, in contrast, someone approached me and challenged me to a hundred metres dash. I knew that someone would be jealous because I won the dash during the last sports day with a streak of luck. I fell at when I was reaching the finishing point and got first for the race.

I know that more surprises and challenges await me. Ending my first day of school, I went home with a smile.

Any other day in school was the same, going to class going to lunch and going home that was until I saw my schedule change. I was a bit shy not knowing what to expect from my new classes and what were they going to be like. When I come into my new class I felt scared, it was like a western movie, when a cowboy walk into a bar and its dead silence nothing but eyes staring at me and not in a good way. I was put in Mr. U Jimenez classroom. After a couple of days in the class it was still harsh but it was getting better for me. It was fun on some days and that’s when I knew I was getting along with others. Eventually I caught up and was right on track. In my new class the first few things I did was stay calm, be happy and try to go along with others.…

Thinking back to my freshman year at Crandall High School, the first thing that comes to my mind is my first day. I walked in the door, only to be breath taken of how big the school was. I remember thinking to myself I might as well make myself comfortable here. This is where I will be spending my next four years. I tried out for the Gold Dusters and I made the teams. I worked really hard on all of my school work and I hoped to make my parents proud.…

When I arrived this morning I said good morning to all the children and help the other member of staff to clean the children’s faces as they where just after finishing their breakfast. Once they where all cleaned I then took them over to brush their teeth, as they where brushing their teeth I did the movement as if I was also brushing my teeth as some of the children where unsure if they where doing it right. After brushing the teeth we went back over to the class room, I got out the cushions and placed them on the floor, I called out their names and told them to take a cushion so we could start circle time.…

    First Day of College

This first week of college has been very exciting. I remember on Sunday all day not knowing what and how to feel and what to expect. I woke up Monday morning nervous and excited, but also blessed because I feel lucky for what I call “one of those fortunate kids to be able to attend college”. I’ve been reading this devotional book each morning since I began Monday and I pray before I leave the house. Monday morning, I got on this campus, and I immediately started walking towards my first class, excited and anxious, but nervous because I didn’t know anyone in the class. I met my first teacher for the day, Mrs. Martinez for Math, and she is such a sweet and nice woman. Then, I had my hour-and-a-half until my next class, Student Success, so I met up with my best friend Whitney, which I haven’t seen the last time we were at Taco Bell with her mom and grandma, sometime in late June or early July. Her mom passed away last month and Thursday, August 29th would be one month. I was so happy to see her and share my college experience with her!!! Then, I had lunch and bought a ham and swiss cheese sub. Then, it was time to go to my last class, Student Success with Mrs. Butler, who is also a lovely lady. I walked in the class, with my friend Alison, and was nervous not knowing what to expect. The syllabus and presentation was very informative and I enjoyed playing and listening to the “Have You Ever?” and the “Head, Shoulders” games. The day ended. I left the campus happy and grateful to be a part of this experience. Tuesday afternoon came and I went to my English class, and met my teacher, Mr. Vrhovac, who is a really funny guy and sarcastic. I also left this day feeling happy and grateful and I’m really starting to feel comfortable in my own skin and I’m loving passing through many of my friends from whom I went to high school with or young adults from my church.…

The last thing I want to be doing right now is walking down my driveway in the cold at 7 am. My breath is swirling in circles in front of me. The wind gently blowing against me and sends shivers throughout my body. The fresh dew on the grass was shimmering under the morning sunlight. The smell was fresh and crisp and smelled comforting to me. My mom peering down on me to make sure I was safe at the bottom of the driveway, her eyes never leaving my sight. I rolled my eyes because even though I was old enough not to have her watch me, she did it just incase.. I start thinking about what Disney Channel said today was going to be like.. I shake away my thoughts, I hear something coming from down the street. I listen to the sound closely. It gets louder and louder and louder until its right around the corner. A car flies past me. I sigh with relief. I look back to see if my mom is still waiting, of course she is with her coffee pressed to her lips, then I turn back around to see the school bus slowly coming to a stop in front of my driveway. I took my time walking to the bus, then get on it and take a seat. I say hi to my friends on the bus and then plug my headphones in. I could smell the perfume from some girl on the back of the bus and see two girls bickering in the seat in front of me. Then it really hit me, today was my first day of high school.…

    First Day at college.

On the morning of the first day I felt rather enthusiastic to meet new people and to make new friends and to have a fresh start. Our whole class got diverged into 2 different groups and we got to introduce ourselves to each other which was out of the ordinary due to many of the class being shy and quiet being in a new environment. Being the confident person I am I do not tend to get nervous in such situations as starting college or a new school because people who tend to get nervous have it harder fitting in and finding out who wants to be their friend but if you go straight into the atmosphere of people you will see who you get along with and who you will most probably need to steer clear of.…

To sum up, my first week is like a journey filled with questions and answers, new people, new stories, discovery, determination and inspiration. As a matter of fact, entering into law school is a terrifying and an overwhelming experience as I thought of when I planned for the said path. On the very first morning in this university, I did not really want to go, because my heart was lingering memories of high school. It’s a well established case of when the fear of the unknown is the greatest fear of all. But it went exactly opposite to what I thought of, because everyone here is friendly and most freshmen are in the same boat as me with not knowing many people. My friends and suite-mates completely got along from the second we meet and they are like my best friends here. What I disliked at the instance here was the social atmosphere which is very heavily dominated by caste based politics and hypocrites. But it is not what I actually perceived, I feel like it is more of a stepping stone into the real world. As in It will be a life changing experience for the better. Though Being homesick is sometimes rough especially because the distance is not so far. I just seem to remember why I am here and what my goals are and that gets me through it. The professors seem to be lenient and understanding so that is a major plus. But the major setback is the heated Aravali which makes the walk to class tiring and make me look like a lost freshman.…
