highschool first day
The last thing I want to be doing right now is walking down my driveway in the cold at 7 am. My breath is swirling in circles in front of me. The wind gently blowing against me and sends shivers throughout my body. The fresh dew on the grass was shimmering under the morning sunlight. The smell was fresh and crisp and smelled comforting to me. My mom peering down on me to make sure I was safe at the bottom of the driveway, her eyes never leaving my sight. I rolled my eyes because even though I was old enough not to have her watch me, she did it just incase.. I start thinking about what Disney Channel said today was going to be like.. I shake away my thoughts, I hear something coming from down the street. I listen to the sound closely. It gets louder and louder and louder until its right around the corner. A car flies past me. I sigh with relief. I look back to see if my mom is still waiting, of course she is with her coffee pressed to her lips, then I turn back around to see the school bus slowly coming to a stop in front of my driveway. I took my time walking to the bus, then get on it and take a seat. I say hi to my friends on the bus and then plug my headphones in. I could smell the perfume from some girl on the back of the bus and see two girls bickering in the seat in front of me. Then it really hit me, today was my first day of high school.
As soon as I got off that bus I felt a little nervous. Even though i made it seem like no big deal, it kind of was. I was going to be taken more seriously in the world. Also, I had no idea what it was going to be like. I

. All that was running through my head was all of the bad things Disney Channel taught me about high school. I thought that as soon as I opened the cold glass doors to enter the school that a 8 foot tall intimidating muscular girl was going to book knock me. I walked off the school bus and felt how anxious I was. I walked through the doors and had felt like I was in a the

I dreaded the alarm that woke me up at 6:30 in the morning. It was as loud as a screaming toddler that could be heard for miles. I groggily got out of bed and got ready for my first day of school. It was a weird feeling not putting on a uniform like I had been for the past nine years, but I also enjoyed that freedom. The nervousness became more and more intense as I could closer and closer to campus. When we arrived, I got out of the car, and watched my dad drive off to go take my younger sister to school. There was no going back now; I had no other choice than to walk through those doors. I felt like my throat was in my stomach. I noticed some familiar faces, and I walked towards them. While I was approaching my friends, a senior, facing toward me, walked passed. He must have been at least six feet tall, which was incredibly intimidating for me at just over five feet. I was not used to the fact that I’d potentially have classes with these giants. Additionally, the array of new teachers, and having to learn all of their teaching styles and things they did or did not tolerate was hard in…

Trying to go to school the next day. Standing in the shower thinking maybe if I dont get out I wouldn't have to start my day and move on with it all. But as the water turns to a shivering cold I realize it’s all too real. Pushing through the first five periods of the day, the last three seemed as too much. Feeling as if I will never be able to be happy again. All these gloomy days crafted me into who I am today. This whole experience making me grow up just a little bit faster, and a little more mature and understanding seeming as I already live the life as an adult, but only being a…

As I sit outside my porch gleaming at the clear blue sky, the sun peeking through the clouds down on my face. I take a long breath, taking in the morning breeze and letting it out. Today will be different, it will be a new beginning. I hear the birds chirping and the sun has risen. It's time. I run back inside my house grab the keys and head straight to the front door. I take a deep breath again telling the voices in my head that today will be different. I stroll down the road as I rehash what this day was one year ago. A deadly disaster, a heart throbbing story that I never want to be reminded of. I ambled past a group of people down the street, I hear their words turning into whispers and their ferocious eyes looking at me. The whispers are…

It had been a crazy morning as I ran all over my house trying to find my jacket and boots. My mom had been admitted into the hospital that morning for a massive headache and all I could think about was whether or not she would be okay. I took her to the emergency room that day before so going to class was the last thing on my mind. My father and sister had agreed to stay with her till I ended class so I was more at ease knowing she wouldn’t be alone. After running all over my house looking for my things I quickly gathered myself to make my train. I finally got to Penn Station with four minutes to spare. I quickly walked to where the rest of my class was as we waited for instructions to where we would…

And there I was, standing in front of the new school I’m going to attend. My heart is racing so I asked myself, “Am I nervous or just excited, now that I’ll be at school again?” It was mixed emotions I am feeling that day. Thoughts and questions are running in my head; having an anxiety of what their first impression will be. “I hope they won’t bully me,” “This school year is going to be exciting,” and “I heard that the professors here are nice,” are just some of the ideas that keeps on bugging me at that moment.…
