Deciding What To Do for the Rest of Your Life This school year is coming to an end. Seniors are going to be graduating soon and before you know it, they will be beginning the next part of their life, almost at adulthood. I found myself in trouble at school at times by my lack of cultural awareness. From being labeled as a bully for fighting back against others who attacked me to not quite understanding why I could not be angry at those who would attack me for no reason, I was often confused at the time by not knowing the wrong of my actions that seemed to be morally just to me. Facing adversity in the classroom in the form of peers who feared my culturally different background, I learned that I must educate other rather than succumb to a cycle of hate. From the initially negative experiences, I have learned to respectfully inquire about a person's individuality that I am not familiar with and ultimately teach others about my identity as…

My educational experience has my perspective of life and the way I relate to people. I have learnt how to interact well with people, despite of their race, religion and beliefs. My learning experience has taught me to behave with integrity and honor, be just and not to be first at judging people, virtues that I did not have before. My educational experience has equipped me with decision making and conflict resolution skills. I have come to understand that people have different interpretation of ethical behavior and in case a conflict arises on any matter, wisdom is what guides me in solving it. I understand that people have different characters and therefore I do not expect all people to behave the same way. I have learnt to show compassion to everyone by helping them acquire the necessary moral…

Throughout my time in high school I had never really given much thought into what I wanted to do once I graduated. I knew I was going to be going to some university to pursue a degree, but I didn’t know what I wanted to do or where I wanted to go. It wasn’t until I took AP Computer Science in 11th grade that I decided that pursing a degree in Computer Science was the right thing for me. This type of work was something that I greatly enjoyed and through computer science I would be able to solve problems in creative ways. When applying for colleges I didn’t get into the University of Florida. This was my top pick and for months I was looking forward to the possibility of attending there. I didn’t let that get me down because I still had plenty…

The reason why I'm in college is because I want a better future for myself and to show my family that I can become somebody one day. Sometimes I would say to myself like “why am I even here? This place is not the place for me “. In other words college is not for everybody because not everyone who lives with their parents who can afford for tuition for college. But for me I realize that staying alone and not doing nothing for me was the biggest mistake I ever made as young adult at the age of nineteen. Soon as I turn 20 I decided that it was time for me to do something that’s going to be right for myself which was working and going to college. The first day of me attending college was amazing meeting new people and getting to know others such as colleagues.…
