1. About “Aider” (Part A)
This document contains a plan of a perceived business opportunity. The opportunity realised is in the World Wide Web domain catering to a particular city in India, Bangalore. Though the aspirations are to go global, this business plan is based on plans based on the need in the city of Bangalore. The website would have the web address, www.aider.com. The word “Aider” has its origins in French language which means “to help”. As the synonym of the name suggests, aider.com was conceived with the intention to help people put their information online efficiently and without any hassles for a nominal charge, regardless of their technology skills or experience. Website building, particularly, as they say, for the technologically “handicapped” can be a daunting task. Aider.com was created with the intention of breaking these barriers and enabling its users to build their own personalised high quality website simply and quickly. This proposal is based on a very simple business model.

Aider.com, as a website would act as a facilitator in providing people or businesses from varied backgrounds a platform to showcase themselves or their products or any information for which they would like to create awareness. In simple terms, aider.com would provide an individual the necessary infrastructure which would require only information input from the used side. A website design would be up and ready which the user would have to choose from a wide variety of designs. After choosing the same, the user would just have to input the desired information which needs to be displayed for prospect customers or other internet users. Key features of the website would be: Created in Minutes Simple to use Customized according to ones needs Email Support would be provided All the above for a nominal fee The following document would describe the business plan based on Wickham’s theory of strategic entrepreneurship.

2. Strategic windows
Behind every successful opportunity there is a strategy, by exploiting gaps there is always a possibility to do things better. When one sees this possibility and is able to capitalise on it by offering that “better” service, then that opportunity identified becomes a strategic window (Wickham, Pg. 154). This document would explore and present the concept of strategic windows behind aider.com. These strategic windows would present the reader a view of the mind behind the conception of aider.com. The purpose of defining these strategic windows is to convince the viability and success of this idea.  Identification of Opportunity (Window Identification) This part of the document would analyse the gap that exists so that the need of a website like aider.com is felt in the market.  Positioning “aider.com” (Window Location) Window location would help in understanding the target segment of the business and its positioning in the market.  Quantitative & Qualitative analysis (Window Measurement) Quantitative and qualitative analysis is carried out to understand clearly why this business model can provide value and the potential that might exist in it.  Resource Procurement (Opening the Window) Financial commitments and initiation is discussed along with expected returns in this part of...
