There's no doubt that Citizen Kane is a great movie. It is a pioneering film that forever changed film making. Its plot is one of the most creative and original in all of movie history. The cinematography is stunning. Citizen Kane is about those images that we all reflect and project, the sum total of which -the impressions we make on other people- are all we that leave behind us. That central, unsolveable riddle of personality is at the core of what makes Citizen Kane so endlessly watchable.…
The films keep the rhythm and pace slow seducing the viewer deep into the story. As in classic film noir Chinatown has a confrontational ending but with Chinatown there are surprising twists. We…
I have been enjoying going to the movies for over 20 and have never stopped loving the experience. I even remember the name of my first movie “The Land Before Time.” It was about a baby dinosaur that had lost his mother and had to make a great journey to the Great Valley to find his grandparents. In the end he does find them, after a great adventure with friends. I have always love movies that have a happy ending and also a little adventure. Another story that I read that had a happy ending was an essay called “Going to the Movies” by Susan Allen Toth 1980. In this essay she writes about what type of experiences she has with four different friends when she goes to the movies with them. Also, another essay I have read recently is called “A Century of Cinema” 1995…

The movie's open end and the gradual revelation of improtant details throughout leaves room for the audience to interpret the story for themselves and amplifies the life-like character of the movie: we are not presented the fate of all the characters and are forced to reflect on the possibilities on our…

In life, we realize that we all have different views and that is what makes our thinking different. When it comes to watching a movie; whether it is horror, action, or comedy, we tend to think of the movies differently based on the way we think of life. People do not go see a movie for the same reasons. Some go just to show off that they saw the movie that everyone was talking about over the weekend and some go see a movie just to take their girlfriend out on a date. Most of the time, we do not go see a movie because we think we are going to learn something from it. We usually go just for entertainment. We learn something from every film we watch. If one whole group of people watched the same film they will learn something different based on the social economic and environment experiences they have had.…
List 2 data sources researchers use to estimate historical standards of living and explain what they can infer from these sources. The Object of my Affection was a boring chick flick in all honesty. But to story it told was slightly interesting. Most of the people in the movie and their encounters with the other member of the movie show signs of few physiological conditions. You can dissect many characters and point out some of their tendencies and how they think. Which can help you understand how they handled the situations they were in and why everything ended how it did. Based on all the characters personality and how they think in certain situations…
All in all, it was a great movie with great direction and acting. The storyline is great and makes it hard to stop watching. It keeps the audience glued to their seat to see what happens at the end of the movie. And, the ending is so appropriate for the movie. It was great writing and what an action drama should be like. The recommendation for this movie could not be higher. It is a true…

As I reflect on my traits it was difficult for me to select on three for strengths and weaknesses. My three strongest traits are caring about others, effective communicator, and teaching and learning. These traits are important to have in the education field especially in early childhood. Caring is important because it feeds our emotional stability when we are stabilized emotionally you feel that you have enough support and a reason to learn and develop. Being an effective communicator in early childhood is critical communicating with the parents of the children creates a team building relationship which is beneficial to the child’s development. My strongest trait is teaching and learning, I feel that it is critical to be a great learner to be an effective teacher.…
1) The Breakfast Club A classic American coming of age movie that follows the story of five very different high school students who meet in detention and share their stories with each other to only find that they have a lot more in common than they had imagined. In the Declaration of Independence it states that we have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The right to liberty in my opinion is being able to do as one pleases. Not having to ask our parents for permission to go out, or having to have a curfew to get home. Listening and following directions from our parents is not liberty. It is not satisfying, and definitely not doing as one pleases. Liberty is having freedom. Being controlled by our parents is not having self control of ourselves and our lives. We should be allowed to do what we want, whenever we want to. In the Declaration of Independence the right to liberty is any basic right or freedom to which all human beings are entitled and in whose exercise a government may not interfere (including rights to life and liberty as well as freedom of thought and expression and equality before the law) (Free dictionary). We have the right to think and act on our own judgement. Having the right to liberty is the same as having the right to your life. It is your life, therefor we have the power and liberty to do what you want. The word liberty comes from libertarian, in 1789 the meaning to libertarian was one who hold the doctrine of free will. Liberty, with its root in Latin, had its origin in words for "unrestricted," "independence," and "separation." Liberty separated one from the mass of enslaved humanity and made one independent. My meaning to the meaning people used back then in 1789 is similar to the fact that people have the right to their own freedom. They have the power to be free. In a modern dictionary the meaning of the word liberty means freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions, etc.; power or right of doing, thinking, speaking, etc., according to choice. I believe the meaning used today to define liberty is freedom from control. It is meaningful today because people do as they please now. They are free in will and do…
The word jealousy stems from both the French word jalousie and the Greek word zelos. The French term of jealousy carried a negative feeling while the Greek term carried more of a positive sense. Jealousy’s definition stands as an emotion that typically comes from insecurity, fear, and anxiety over a predictable loss of something that a person values. Through characteristics, concrete examples, and results jealousy portrays as an emotion one feels when one’s desires cannot be obtained.…
