The opening segment of the movie depicts all of the rigors and trials of basic training, from the head shaving, to climbing course obstacles, to drill and marching, to performing menial chores called details, and is dominated by a loud, abusive, foul mouthed and strict presence. Lee Ermey’s depiction of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman is every military recruit’s worst nightmare of a drill instructor. Jack Kroll of Newsweek states “Ermey, a real former Marine D.I. in his first acting role, takes the classic, jut-jawed, insult-barking D.I. and turns him into a fearsome figure that mingles horrific black comedy and pure psychosis” (64). Indeed, Ermey delivers the most vicious of profanity laced insults straight faced and with a vehemence that cannot be doubted. Sergeant Hartman truly believes that his way of doing things in his beloved Corps is the one true way.…

Critics had some very positive things to say about it from they saw. They agree that the director Joss Whedon did a phenomenal job of directing it and getting the story line done because without him they think the movie would have crashed and burned. The critics also really enjoyed the plot they put together it wasn’t all action it had more of a mix genre to help make it more intriguing to a broader audience. They did seem to have a negative reaction towards the special effects though they didn’t enjoy how they were the same special effects that everybody else uses. All in all the critics had very positive reviews with a little negativity but overall they agreed the movie is worth the watch. Don’t think twice about watching it, you won’t regret…

The resources you need are as follows, a personality that can appeal to multiple friend groups, have an inner group of friends that you are close too, and a gym membership. The personality part is easy especially when you have a fresh start somewhere. If you don’t play sports tell them that, but don’t hesitate when you have a chance to play football with everyone. Even if you make a complete fool of yourself (I did, more than once) they’ll accept you… in time. The animators, writer, directors, and everyone else involved in the production of the film, truly did an amazing job. The artistic design of the film as a whole makes the audience know that it is an animation film, yet the audience could put the world into the real world because the artistic style is believable. The camera angles do a wonderful job in showing the audience the world that the film is set in and aid in the development of the story. Overall the film is a must see and was put together in a fantastic…

The actors and actresses did a great job in this movie. It wasn’t a performance worth and Oscar, but they did very well. This movie is very emotional and in order for the audience to really feel it, the actors had to act it out well, and they did their job great. The most impressive acting in my opinion was from the main character. He made the audience really believe he was scared and depressed. Overall great acting.…

After watching the movie several times through, I agree with Mr. Ebert’s comments and review. The acting done by the main cast was superb. It was an entertaining movie that provided a powerful message of courage. The critic gave complements to both director Tom Hooper and the main cast. The movie was greatly executed. Mr. Ebert especially applauded the acting of Albert, played by Colin Firth, during the ending scene; he stated, “that fraught scene was masterful” (Roger).…

The movie is packed with the right doses of action, adventure, and comedy. The movie is definitely, not in any way, boring. It is the kind of movie where you would really be focused on and where you wouldn’t want to lose sight of. The story is not purely fictional. And that’s what I love about this movie, about its book. It does not just give entertainment; it also gives knowledge and understanding to people. It also is one way for people to remember and give importance to history.…
