review on les choriste
Les choristse (the chorus) was released on the 11 of March 2005 and has won two Oscars, 21 nominations and 11 other wins. So obviously the director (Christophe Barratier) did an outastanding job.
The film opens with Clement Mathieu (Gerard Jugnot) talking to one of his pupils (Pierre morhange starred as Jean-Baptiste Maunier) and going through some of the memories that they both shared. Together they read the diary that Clement Mathieu wrote and so the story unfolds. Clement Mathieu is seen prospecting for a new job and finds a place at the fond prospecting for a new job and finds a place at the fond l’etang (rock bottom) as the new supervisor. Clement Mathieu’s life soon unearthed that he wanted to be a musician when he was a boy; however he failed.

The boys at the school were proving to be difficult to manage so clement decided to urge the children into singing. Pierre morhange was described as a face of an angel , but spawn of the devil. But the film revealed that he had a beautiful singing voice. So clement strove to give him the best opportunity.

Rachin (François Berléand) had no belief in the choir and banned all music lessons, so clement had to do it in secret.

The film in my opinion proved to be very good because it gives yourself inspiration to do anything. Also I enjoyed it because the film was exciting as you always had that background image of the naughty boys and when you saw them being as good as gold it was hard to believe.

The movie was great because how they acted their roles were exceptional. Honestly, the roles given to them are really hard because they will handle all the emotional and physical challenges of their roles. You really need a good actors to be able to act it out, and so they did. It was so moving, since you are able to see hopeless people who as much as possible keep their selves positive and enthusiastic in life. It is directed by Penny Marshall, the film was produced by…

Throughout the movie there were some negative things that were present within it. Some of these were how the songs would just randomly begin and could make a certain scene loose its significance and meaning, the plot itself seemed to be a bit predictable and disappointing until a plot-twist occurred. The ending of the movie I found confusing and a cliché. Although there were a few negative aspects present in the movie I still believe it was a successful movie and quite enjoyable.…

The movie was entertaining. It had a lot of funny moments. For instance, when Walter and his boss were fighting in the elevator over a childhood toy called Strechy Arm Strong. But the funniest part for me was watching adult men acting like little kids. The scene that got me laughing so…

Some actors acted and appeared entirely different in the movie than the book. The directing and special effects were okay in some scenes, but half-baked and lousy in others. Furthermore, the characters are developed far less in the film and many semi-important scenes in the novel are excluded in the film. Do not watch this movie unless you have read the novel (or even if you have read it). If you haven’t read the book and decide to watch the movie instead, you will fail to understand the complicated relationships between each character and between the Socs and Greasers and just think the movie is substandard and all aspects of the movie lacked in action, emotion, or just seemed like they were not well thought out. A 3.5/10 may seem harsh, but I was not pleased. Just go read the book instead. It had the potential to be a great film, but severely missed the…

According to the many articles and film history that I read, this is the first feature film directed by Jean- Luc Godard who was considered the influencial director that started the French New Wave. And based on our lectures, what makes the French New Wave famous was the technique like jumpcuts, shooting on location, using handheld cameras, loose narrative form or improvised dialogue. Godard also uses the history of cinema art and music. He also includes pictures in posters of famous artists like Picasso and Renoir women. The music in the soundtrack also includes Mozart’s clarinet concerto and French pop radio.…

I enjoyed this film very much. The story line was very interesting and kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time. At no point did I lose interest or dozed off when watching this film. I liked how well Meryl Streep played the role of Sister Aloysius. The whole time I only saw her as Sister Aloysius and no other character from different films Meryl has done. I absolutely loved how the movie was produced. The setting fit in so well with the story and the plot was very stable and consistent. I never felt like the story drifted into unnecessary parts or unneeded points.…

An out-of- work machinist, Etienne is willing to do almost anything to make money, including descending into the pit and taking pick-axe to coal. He is befriended by Maheu (Gerard Depardieu), who takes him onto his digging crew and invites him to lodge at his house. Once there, Etienne becomes enamored with Catherine (Judith Henry), Maheu's daughter, and she with him -- although neither of them is willing to admit their feelings.…

I had never seen it before so I enjoyed trying to see the perspective I was looking at. I noticed that although he was going through so much, he stuck by his own and believed in himself. When I used conflict to observe Fortune, he caught me as the conflict…

My thoughts about the movie could be similar to other people’s opinions. The movie itself started out slow, I have noticed that with a lot of older movies like this one, it took a while for me to catch on to the point of the movie, or to figure out what it was about. Slowly the movie started picking up and it began to make more sense to me. There are a lot of characters that I had to write down on a piece of paper because it was almost impossible for me to memorize all of them.…
