A genre such as supernatural horror is meant for an audience that desires to feel that rush of adrenaline running through their bodies. The purpose of this genre is to satisfy the curiosity of people that let their minds wander off about the supernatural world. Horror movies bright out the demon in everyone. Normally someone would not be rooting on a person getting sawed in half with a chainsaw or getting stabbed in the back with a knife in the shower. In Steven King’s Why We Crave Horror Movies he discusses why people love horror movies so much. Of course, some people are not a fan of horror movies. Films that I particularly favor are thrillers. One reason Thrillers become so enjoyable for me, a sense of diversion is created making the viewers more indulge in the movie all the way to the ending. The plots are usually twisted, climatic, suspenseful and intelligence is often use far as the writing perspective to result in an ecliptic viewing of the movie. A really great thriller will usually bring a shock factor by the climax, then the movie will receive a better understanding from the beginning to end. Another genre of films I enjoy are Musicals they are fashionable and express emotions through singing. I am really into lyricism so I enjoy comparing the actual expression of the each character's individual story and the progression…

In life, we realize that we all have different views and that is what makes our thinking different. When it comes to watching a movie; whether it is horror, action, or comedy, we tend to think of the movies differently based on the way we think of life. People do not go see a movie for the same reasons. Some go just to show off that they saw the movie that everyone was talking about over the weekend and some go see a movie just to take their girlfriend out on a date. Most of the time, we do not go see a movie because we think we are going to learn something from it. We usually go just for entertainment. We learn something from every film we watch. If one whole group of people watched the same film they will learn something different based on the social economic and environment experiences they have had.…

Horror and thriller are a long standing favorite media type of our kind. A good scare that lingers in our minds sticks with us in ways other genres do not. The interest can span through movies and novels which both deliver results in different ways. Horrors and thrillers also affect our bodies while watching, though also differently. The reasons of why we like to be scared continue to be studied, but a few theories have emerged that are all partially accepted.
