Dangers of Diet Pills

Diet pills are extremely dangerous to people of all ages. The risks are very high with diet medications. It is proven that there aren't any pills that actually block fat. (Dietician 11) Many dieticians say that you never should use diet medications to manage weight. Weight loss pills are addictive as well. When you take them in large doses, you begin to fill other side effects like nausea. It can also cause your heart to beat so quickly that it just eventually stops. (Eating Smart 137-138) Also, after you stop taking the medications, there is a rebound reaction. They can often cause depression as well. May diet pills claim that you can replace physical activity. In fact, your physical activity must be improved in order to help weight loss. In recent studies, a majority of patients regained all the weight they lost after they got off of the weight-loss medications (NIDDK 6)

As with the zone diet, there are many dangers with it. For example, the diet is based on unproven claims and testimonies. The metabolism pathways aren't standard in scientific test. (Consumer 26)

Rest is very important when going on a diet. Rest allows for you body to refuel energy over night and not need the extra food to keep you going. Also, breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. If you are on a diet or just maintaining healthy weight, you should never skip breakfast. Breakfast keeps you full until lunch and keeps you from snacking on other foods until then. It also keeps you less hungry during lunch. You should stop eating when you're full as we'll. If you eat until your bloated, you more opt to not loss the extra weight. Also overeating at meals can cause you to binge later on in the night to maintain the full feeling. (136)

The Zone diet is a diet in which the mind focuses on the diet. You allegedly experience fat loss, greater athletic performance and improved mental productivity while in the zone. (Consumer 26)
