Internal Factor Description
Top Managers Charles Edwards is the president of the company and for this reason it is extremely important that he understands and supports the new information system approach. It is the responsibility of the managers to initiate large-scale projects and it is crucial that Charles is on board with the company changes
IT Department With the implementation of a new information system it is crucial that the IT department be expanded. New hires of experts on implementing information systems would be very beneficial to the company. These new employees would be responsible in training the user base in the new software and business practices.
User Requests With a new system comes a huge learning curve. Because of this users will likely require more IT services and support. This supports the fact that the company will need to expand the IT department.
Existing Systems and Data The current data that is held in the old system will need to be transferred into the new system. That can be done with the collaboration of an IT specialist.

External Factors Description
Technology Technology is ever changing and it is important that the company stays up to date with the changes.
Customers Customers are the most important aspect to any business. Customers will have to learn that your business is changing. Now customers can order online, view and track their orders online and manage their services online. That is a crucial advancement that customers, present and future, need to know about.
Competitors Every business will always have competition. It is important for this business to keep track of competitors prices and new offerings and make adjustment to one’s own practices to remain competitive.
