Crewmember Of A Restaurant
When most people think of a team they think of sports like football or basketball. A stadium isn’t the only place where one may find people working as a team. A restaurant’s crew is a perfect example of a team. It takes a combination of self driven employees and a strong manager to pull together a great crew. There are plenty positions and functions a crewmember of a restaurant could have. Three very important positions most people notice the crewmembers having at a restaurant are a manager, floor worker, or kitchen attendant. Waiters/waitresses, custodians, and busboys are all considered as the floor workers. The floor workers are usually men or women who seat, serve, and constantly check on the customers to see if they are in need of any assistants. They’re also there to make the guest feel comfortable and keep them happy. Another job the floor workers have is to make sure that the floors, tables, and any other surroundings are cleaned spotless. No one wants to walk into a restaurant that is dirty. Without floor workers, we would hardly ever have a clean and happy place to relax and eat. …show more content…
Kitchen attendants are usually referred to as “the chefs” or “the cooks”. They are the employees who clean the dishes, prepare the food, and send it off with a floor attendant to bring to the guests. It might not seem like many things that kitchen attendants must do; but when they have to work all day and to serve over 500 guests it starts to seem like a lot more task adding on as the day goes for them.
