Due to the fact that every human-being possesses their own views on life, it is possible that there are innumerable interpretations of what is ultimately this idea seen as happiness. The 14th Dalai Lama used to say:” Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.” Actually, there are many definitions of happiness as people get happiness in their own way, and what makes one person happy might not work as well for another one. As for me, I believe that happiness is not difficult to obtain because it lies in what we think, what we say and what we do. Therefore, my happiness is a result of optimism, self-satisfaction and good relationships with my family and friends.…

Different people define happiness differently. For some, it means abundance of love, while for others it means the ampleness of money. It is a relative concept. No two people have the same definition of happiness. It is commonly thought of as having a great deal of money, power, or fame. But can these things actually make people happy? Happiness is actually more than what most people think it is. It can be mysterious and elusive, sought after by many, but not gained by all. Some people find happiness from the love given by friends and family. Others find happiness by being rich and powerful. But, whatever the source, happiness is definitely an essentiality and necessity of life.…

The question “why are we on this planet?” is one that everyone at some point in his or her life ponders about. For some it might be family, others success or religion, but at the root of it all, if we are not happy, what is the point of asking? “Happiness” can be defined as a mental state or emotion in which we are content with everything in out surroundings and encounters. In the essay, “Born to Be Happy, Through a Twist of Human Hard Wire,” author Richard A. Friedman explains happiness in a very interesting way. He states that chemicals the brain produces, such as dopamine and serotonin is the causes of happiness and other emotions. That may be a way of generalizing the causes scientifically, but for something so complex and mysterious such as happiness, it becomes the aspects in your life that enable you to achieve true happiness. They can be summed down to daily satisfaction, social satisfaction, and personal satisfaction. Those three components cover every section of your life; having all three evident in your life with good balance between each of them will enable you to achieve true lasting happiness.…

The term happiness cannot be contained or explained through words. No word is right word to explain the essence of happiness. Happiness is a spiritual element that is far beyond human explanation. It is eternal and human inheritance. The word happiness cannot make you happy like the word water cannot quench. For someone who is thirst must drink water and quench the throat. And the same thing is true with happiness. Happiness is not something verbal or to be induced from outside. No money, power, fame, or other worldly materials can make you happy; if they make you, it is temporarily, for happiness emanates from within.…

An individual who is alone in his 10,000 square feet mansion can never be as happy as an individual who stays with his family and kids in a 1000 square feet home. A BMW is useless if you have no one beside you whereas you can stay happy travelling in a public transport if you are with the people you love.…
