Bonnaroo Informative Speech
“Thanks for tuning in here at WABD! Yes, you’ve probably heard about it already but I’m going to tell you again! The lineup to the Bonnaroo music festival has been released, and it’s looking like an incredible year once again for this modern day Woodstock! Performances by Kanye, Skrillex, Zedd, and many other big performers are going to be headlining this years crazy event! It’s such a great line-up, I may have to take a sick week and go myself! [laughter]. Stick around to find out how to cop a pair of discounted tickets, coming up next, only on 97.5 WABD.” The anticipation for such a large-scale event is enough to make me buy tickets to this riveting weekend of fun. Staring out the window during the road trip, tired from the sleepless excitement, gives me plenty of time to think. Some kids were at a local baseball camp for young athletes preparing to be the next Barry Bonds. Others were at the beach, tanning under a 90 degree sun peeking from around sparse clouds. It is a life-changing experience that connects man with the arts and the universal language: music. Bonnaroo features an array of music, non-stop entertainment, vibrant art, tasty food, unforgettable activities, and a campsite, all sure to remind you of that old Woodstock feeling. It’s truly a world put together by creative geniuses. The festival lasts three days and hosts a wide variety of performers along with an unbelievable amount of entertainment. Seven stages spread out over six-hundred acres can hold a lot of excitement. Living on The Farm together for four days sparks relationships that last a lifetime. You never know who will you will meet or dance with each day. Being a part of Bonnaroo means being a part of a creative community bigger than yourself.
