Best Sport in the World
The smell of fresh cut grass, the sun beaming straight down on you and the heart skipping beats as the game starts off. That is the best weather for a soccer game kick off. Soccer is the best sport in the world regardless of what people say and think. It requires a lot more skill, it is the most popular sport in the world, and it is different than all the other sports. Soccer isn’t like other sports where you can catch a ball, throw a ball, or hold a stick in your hand to hit the ball. You need a lot more skills to play soccer; you need to run constantly, have great foot skills along with knowing how to use the rest of your body, and also be able to see what’s going to happen before it does to make plays. On average a soccer player runs about seven miles per game. Have you ever heard of the World Cup or the Champions League? I’m sure you have, because these two events are the biggest competitions in the world, also the most watched sport. A lot of counties outside of North America live and breathe soccer from there youth to thee elderly. Soccer is so different then playing other sports. I’ve played a lot of different sport and nothing feels as good as playing soccer. When you make a perfect pass or score a goal the feels that you get are overwhelming that it gives you goose bumps. A soccer game can be played very beautifully. It’s not just about how many goals a team scores but how well they play the game and the kind of plays they set up. Not only do people get paid a lot in football, baseball, and basketball, but also in soccer. If you’re a super star then you will get paid even better then the top athletes in the other sports. Messi and Ronaldo are the top two highest paid soccer players, Messi’s salary is thirty one million a year and Ronaldo’s salary is thirty million a year. You might not be the best player in the world but there are so many teams around the world, making it easier to land a paid career playing soccer. You can’t go

Soccer in many countries cannot be understood apart from the country's culture, traditions, class structure, geography, and values. Soccer reflects a nation's culture because it permeates all levels of a society. There are probably climatic reasons why South Americans in their warm climate play at a different pace than the English, who play right through the winter and have to keep running to combat the cold. Brazilian soccer, so well documented by Janet Lever (1983) in Soccer Madness, is "alegre," soccer to a Samba beat-joyous, unpredictable, spontaneous, "poetry and motion."…

Now that you have an idea of the rules of professional soccer, I will continue to explain the popularity and passion of the game. Soccer is very widely played all over the world. The most prestigious international soccer competition is that of the world cup, held every four years, it lasts about a month, the most recent one being held in South Africa world cup 2010. With more than a billion viewers a day and tuned in to approximately 30 billion times, it is more popular than the Super Bowl, the World Series, the Masters, and the NBA finals. One reason many researchers believe it is so popular, especially in third world countries is because of the lack of things needed in order to play. All you need is a goal and a ball. Soccer is so much a part of so many people’s everyday lives.…

It is such a rush to race down the pitch and send an amazing through pass to your teammate who scores the goal. Soccer has taught me many life lessons such as to always try your best, exercise is important, and to be respectful to everyone you play with or against.…

It’s pretty obvious what ill be talking about today and for those that are completely clueless then good at least I’m surprising a few. For those who don’t know what I’m holding, this right here established the foundation of my childhood, culture, and future. You guys thought I was going to keep it simple and say, “It’s just a soccer ball” well yes it is but to me it’s so much more than that. Lets begin with saying soccer is universal. There is so much more than running non-stop for 90 minutes and going up and down a field chasing a ball. Since I cant speak for everyone in the room and I don’t have super powers to read peoples mind, to me, soccer builds our character, holds families together, and brings a divided world into one.…
