Apple vs. Microsoft
Growing up in the 90’s, the Americans and similar countries only used Microsoft for all their computer needs. That was all you could ever find inside the workplace, colleges, and at home. Until one day a new kind of computer was designed. This computer had a mouse with only one button on it and didn’t have a start button on the bottom left corner. At first these systems seemed very confusing, but as people began to use it, they found that it was simpler and more productive at work. This new design was called the iMac and it finally gave Microsoft some competition. Ever since then, Apple and Microsoft have both been trying to create the best products to compete with one another. It is clear that Apple and Microsoft have become one of the biggest competitors in the business industry. So which type of product is right for you? There are many differences between the two companies with all the products that they sell. For example, they have computers, laptops, tablets, and smart phones.

There are many operating systems for Microsoft such as Vista Home Basic, Vista Home Premium, and Vista Ultimate. Each system has different features depending on what you want to use it for. Apple computer however, releases one basic operating system which gives you all the software that Apple offers. The second difference between Apple and Microsoft is the hardware. Microsoft isn’t really a computer at all. They sell their operating system to computer manufacturers such as Dell, Gateway, Acer, etc. Apple chooses to manufacture their own hardware, which makes buying an Apple simpler. Microsoft does have the advantage for the number of software or programs you can download into your computer, but Apple has the availability to open a

To contend with their competitor, Apple made their system exceptional by concentrating on inventive design and well-programmed contents. In addition, they largely developed their system for education and business industries. Continuing their singular strategy, the company also produced the iPod, iPhone, and iPad products with their characteristic features and design-savvy. If Apple had trailed the steps of their greatest challenger, they would have failed to develop the very values that so successfully distinguish them. Apple’s prominent status illustrates that the key to success is often a pioneer approach that defies the status…

Apple and Microsoft are alike in they were created at the same time and both had great ideas. Some similarities they share are products such as portable media players and smart phones, tablet devices, and retail stores. They both have portable media players. Apple has the iPod and Microsoft has the Zune. They both do the same thing, but have completely different functions within the device. Zune is all tiled and more cut and dry verses the iPod ,which is sleek, creative, and allows more wiggle room than the Zune. Apple wins over people with the iPhone; it functions just like their iPod touch and newer generation iPods. Windows has the Windows phone which works like the Windows 8 software, everything is on tiles and very confusing to use. Apple and Microsoft both have tablet devices; Apple the iPad, and Windows has the surface. Lastly, they both have retail stores, where a costumer can come in and buy their products. Apple may have more than Microsoft, but they both allow someone to go in, purchase a…

However, after reading the verdict, the patents themselves, and a bunch of news summaries, it seems to me that there may be less than meets the eye here. As near as I can tell, the jury found Samsung guilty of violating the following Apple patents:…

Looking at Apple’s long track record, they have certainly lived up to that mission statement. With Steve Jobs at the helm, Apple has mastered many products such as the Mac Book, iPhone, iPad, iPod, and iTunes throughout the last decade. What sets Apple apart from similar companies such as Microsoft is stated in the mission statement, “its innovative hardware, software, and Internet offerings”.
