PRADHAN MANTRI KAUSHAL KENDRA
The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) is a big step in establishing an iconic centre of excellence for skill development.
Vocational training should be made ambitious in order to convert India into the skill capital of the world. In order to achieve the same, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has established aspirational training centres in each and every district of the country. The model training centres foresee to:
• Create benchmark institutions that exhibit aspirational value for competency based skill development training
• Focus on the essentials of quality, sustainability and connect with the stakeholders in skill delivery process

Coverage
NSDC is following a cluster based methodology for the coverage of this programme across India. To ensure a proper mix of districts with different skill based activities, clusters have been formed keeping in view the socio-economic, demographic and skill based training abilities of particular areas. However, such clustering has not been done in the North Eastern states, Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territories because of the challenges faced in these areas.
Infrastructure
 PMKK centres are categorised into three categories based on the population of each district. Each category has a different requirement of minimum area. These three categories A, B and C will have a minimum area size of 8000, 5000 and 3000 sq ft respectively. The population in these areas should be above 4 lakh for category A, 1-4 lakh for category B and less than 1 lakh for category C.
 The PMKK centres will have to follow the branding conditions provided by NSDC for colour specifications, designs, templates etc.

 Each centre should maintain a bank account in any commercial bank. The funds will be released on completion of phases which will be based on milestone completion specified by NSDC.

3. Training delivery some parameters are laid down for training delivery keeping in view the expectations which are to be met by the trainers, trainees and other specifications.
 All the trainers appointed should have the minimum specified academic qualification and experience as per the SSC. Each centre should have adequate number of trainers. Also, in addition to the course trainers, one soft skills and english trainer alongwith the faculty for employment readiness should also be available in each centre.
 The trainees should meet the specified criteria for eligibility for every skill program at the time of admission.
 the responsibility of Assessment and Certification is laid upon the bodies recognised by NSDC/MSDE. The assessment should be done in a week of the completion of the course and the certificates are to be issued in the next 7
