Market Research flaavyo & Sugarfree ice cream

We visited total 95 outlets of Amul.
Area wise visits are as follows
Grant Road, Kamathipura – 16
Lower parel, Jacob circle, Byculla – 35
Mumbai central – 9
Madanpura, Agripada – 19
Mahalaxmi – 16

Also we visited competitor’s outlets to place Flaavyo & Sugarfree ice cream.
Apart from these two new launches, some of these competitors outlets also ordered few other products from Amul icecream!

Market feedback
Overall market feedback is mixed.
Amul is indeed a number 1 brand of choice, for customers & therefore for the retailers.
Whenever we asked for any remarks, any complaints, 70% retailers said “No, there isn’t any complaint as such. There is steady demand”
BUT,
Some of the retailers had some complaints, like –
-Cones come damaged. Ice cream comes out of those, which, also makes other good cones sticky. & they had issue about the prompt replacement/ damage clearing of these faulty stock. Sometimes empty wrappers comes in a box. In a box of 20, get 1 item less, that is, only 19.
We also came across 1 complaint like “We order something else. & get delivery of something else”
-Offer on deep freezer. They want it for free like other brands. Some of them said, “its ok even if you give a small one, for free”.
-Other brands offer more margin. Mother dairy offers 23% pastonji, 40%!
-Sunrise restaurant of Grant Road said there is no demand for amul in that area
Services of wholesale distributer
-Cold room facility. (on our first day of briefing, we are showed the cold room)
-Cold storage vans, for the purpose of distributing the ice cream to the retailers
- WD takes the orders via call or through a distributer.
-Delivery of ordered stock.
-Replacement of faulty stock.
-We have schemes like on purchase of Rs. 4000 stock, retailer gets 1 party pack free, & on of Rs. 6000, 2 party packs.

Class Act has concluded that the full agreement consideration of $5 million should be recorded as revenue upon signing the agreement. I do not think this is appropriate method to recognize revenue. According to FASB, a company would apply the following five steps to achieve the core principle: (1) identify contract with the customer. (2) Identify separate performance obligations. (3) Determine transaction price. (4) Allocate transaction price. (5) Recognize revenue when performance obligation is satisfied. Class Act recognized all $5 million up signing the agreement, how about if the performance of Broadway Venues doesn’t satisfy the agreement. The article shows that the agreement is silent as to whether any payments are refundable if the tour never commences.…

Pricing the service and product for a new organization will have an affect of the future of the business. When releasing prices to the public, consumers will compare it to competitors and will either help the organization or make a poor impression on potential consumers. Pricing is one of the most difficult decisions a company can make but also the most important (Scarborough, 2014). In the industry of ice cream delivery, there are no direct competitors to compare pricing. The next available source of pricing would be ice cream stores in the local area and grocery stores. The price to have ice cream delivered will need to competitive and help…

As the next generation of colonists moved westward to find new, fertile land, they encountered plentiful acreage at cheap prices. Frontier families lived with the bare necessities acquired through subsistence farming, created a widely dispersed society of equals, and were subjected to a disorganized existence without organized law and order, community institutions, or organized churches. Thus, frontier communities became volatile and violent places where deep divisions festered between its residents and those of the eastern seaboard.…

The White Anglo-Saxon Protestants (WASPs) have been at the top of the social hierarchy ever since they arrived to America in the 1600s. The first wave of immigration consisted of the Germans, Irish and Chinese. The WASPs created a way to measure the success of each immigrant group. They acknowledged four factors of success that would show them whether an immigrant group was successful or not. The first factor of success was how much money an immigrant had when they came to America. The more money they came to America with, the more successful they were. Another factor of an immigrant’s success was how large the group they came with was. The larger the group, the less respect and successful they were. Furthermore, it worried the WASPs because they did not want to lose their power and high-end jobs. A third factor that measured an immigrants’ success was where they located. The further away the immigrants settled from the WASP’s, the more the WASPs respected them. The last factor that determined to the WASPs how successful an immigrant group was, was the stereotypes. Stereotypes were given to immigrant groups who looked different or acted different then the WASPs. The immigrant groups that received harsh stereotypes were not deemed successful. Using these four factors, the WASPs analyzed each immigrant group and determined whether the group was successful or not.…

When it comes to market share David Chapman’s Ice cream Ltd is the leading player as it generates 24% of the markets value followed by Nestle S.A which accounts 23.6% of the market share. It will not be a surprise to us that the market is concentrated with the top three players holding 65.6% of the total market value which include both international and local players. It is possible to enter this market on a small-scale but it is better on a larger scale. This is because the presence of strong brands and the scale of economies associated required for…

    Customer Complaint Behavior

INTRODUCTION This paper reviews a concept still relatively rarely considered by companies: consumer complaint behaviour. Within the framework of the relationship paradigm, complaint behaviour is a powerful signal which companies should take into account. On the one hand, it gives an organisation a last chance to retain the customer, if the organisation reacts appropriately, on the other hand it is a legitimate and ethical act toward the consumer. Generally, but not exclusively, complaint behaviour is one of the responses to perceived dissatisfaction in the post-purchase phase. In the first section of the paper, a taxonomy of response styles used by dissatisfied consumers is proposed. Then consumer complaint…
