Communication refers to the conveying of meaning by means o shared systems of semiotic rules and signs. Communication may either be auditory, visual or biochemical. Communication among people applies the extensive usage of language. Business communication refers to information sharing among people within any organisation which is aimed at achieving commercial benefit for the said business.
Both Amazon.com and Riot Games use online medium as the primary mode of communication. Irrespective of their differences; Amazon being a global name with worldwide reach and a huge customer base and Riot Games being more concise with market presence in selective locations and a more informal arrangement as compared to Amazon, online correspondence has been put to effective use by both the brands. Riot Games adheres to a more flexible mode of operations in contrast with Amazon. Yet both the brands make sure that communication is conducted online with representative interference only when the situation arises.

Both Amazon and Riot Games primarily operate online via their respective websites. The website is a user friendly interface that has easy navigation. The customers place their orders online and interact with the business by means of chat, feedback, survey, forums and so on. The internet makes certain aspects of conducting the business easier from the perspective of both the company and the customer. Electronic communication with the use of emails makes it possible to type a message and share it by clicking on the mouse. Online communication has a faceless quality and may create hindrance for the companies when most of the business is done online.
