What is this life I stumbled in to?
Where's it gonna take me? Where's it gonna take you?
If life is a journey, then I know where I'll be
By the ocean, oh that valley in the sea...
But I don't think anyone's looking for me, especially you
And if someone is looking, than who?
And it's amazing, how lost inside in you feel,
When you look fine on the outside, you're screaming someone take the wheel
And it's amazing, they think you've got it all,
But it might just be a pebble, that's gonna make you fall
What is this story that tells me I'm fine?
It adds color to my pages, like a sweet little nursery rhyme
If I had the answers, then I know where I'll be,
By the ocean, oh that valley in the sea...
And it's amazing, how lost inside in you feel,
When you look fine on the outside, you're screaming someone take the wheel
And it's amazing, they think you've got it all,
But it might just be a pebble, that's gonna make you
Fall away, like summer fades to grey,
But be honest babe, 'cause it hurts so much to say...

This is bitter book, was my first reaction. I didn't know if I wanted to finish it, because it was just horrible how this girl had been treated and what she had to go through. It kind of shocked me the fact that she went through all of the trouble. At first As I was reading I thought that the mother would of have the courage to stop the father from abusing precious, I mean its his own daughter, who would do such a sick thing. I was wrong; because the mother didn’t even do anything about it instead she as well abused her physically and mentally.…

There are certain periods of life in which we have to face and handle difficulties and traumas. We experience suffering in such a way that our hopes, life projects and dreams become extinct. Sometimes, life problems are too difficult to be overcome by only ourselves. Sometimes, we need the external help of others and the values they can project towards us in order to triumph over life obstacles. Through their actions, their words, their advice and their receptivity to our troubles, people play an important role when they want to help us.…

At the El Paso Museum of Art I saw many beautiful and wonderful paintings and sculptures but the “The Portrait” was the sculpture that caught my attention the most. “The Portrait” was sculpted by Frances Bagley an American artist born on April 7, 1946 in Fayetteville, Tennessee. Frances Bagley lives and works in Dallas, Texas. “The Portrait” was created in 1997 and it is made out of stainless steel and marble. I believe that “The Portrait” is an interesting piece of art because it resembles exactly what the title says. It is a portrait of a the artist or a portrait of woman. The sculpture has shape and contour which is the shape of a woman like in a night gown. The sculpture has mass. It also has texture because in the stainless steel you can see that is shine and smooth and the marble is not finish so you can see that is rough. It has color because even if the marble is rough it has different colors. It has proportion and scale in the part of the body from top to bottom as well it does have the proper scale to simulate a woman sitting down. “The Portrait” has design, unity, and aesthetic because the whole piece is appealing to eye since it resembles the shape of a woman with the different pieces of rough marble place inside of the stainless structure and even if the materials does not have a glamorous touch the sculpture does captivate the viewers attention because of its has beauty. But most important the portrait has content and iconography because the piece is portraying a woman that is always beautiful even in her simplest form and it also resembles the meaning that a woman has in society as a strong person because it gives life to their children and as the foundation of the family. In my opinion The Portray has the meaning of what a woman is. She is hard as stainless steel because she knows that she always have to be there as an inspiration for her family or her children. She…

    Part 1: Background
One of the ongoing discussions in behavioral research is about whether the non-human great apes (chimps, bonobos, orangutans, and gorillas) are as intelligent as human beings. Intelligence refers to the ability to learn, reason, plan, think abstractly, comprehend ideas, and solve problems. It involves the ability to understand and profit from experience and to apply that knowledge to cope with, interact with, and manipulate the outside world.…

I was not quite sure what I wanted to do when I first came to Providence College. However, after some contemplation and experience through introductory courses, I have decided that I would like to pursue a career in finance. I have always been an analytical person with a knack for using numbers in various ways. The first career that comes to mind would be a financial analyst. I understand that this sector of finance is extremely competitive and would take a lot of time and effort starting at an entry-level position to ultimately achieve my goal of becoming an analyst at a respected bank, but I am also a hard worker. The marks that I have received throughout my academic career are not solely because I am an intelligent person; it takes a lot of time and effort—and ambition—to accomplish such things. The position of a financial analyst also appeals to me because I know that these individuals are not simply crunching numbers alone behind a desk all day. Rather, they often work in teams—something I have done my entire life through sports.…

In the movie "Crazy Beautiful", the main character Nicole obviously has a mental illness. I believe this comes from a multiplicity of reasons such as genetics, and her abuse of alcohol. Also, it appears as Carlos has a much more difficult life than Nicole, however he is not the one with the mental illness. I will go into further detail on what I think why the illness is with Nicole, not Carlos. Nicole is a very interesting character; she just needed to find her weakness and work through it with people who care about her.…

The movie Precious based on the novel Push by Sapphire about a 16 year old girl named Claireece “Precious” Jones who was raised in an abusive household with her mother and her mother’s boyfriend, where she deals with verbal, physical and sexual abuse from both her mother, and father who lives in a different home. Precious has one child with Down’s Syndrome, but her mother doesn’t let the baby stay in the house with them so she lives with her grandmother and the only time Precious gets to see the baby is when the social worker visits to evaluate the child care. Things certainly are bleak, and when they get bleak, Precious escapes in to a fantasy world in her mind where she’s a famous, glamorous actress walking the red carpet, or being adored by a perfect June Cleaver-type mom. In reality, as long as Precious can make it through the day invisible – at school, on the streets or at home – she can breathe a sigh of relief.…
