Against A Bowl Of M & M !
Against a bowl of M & M!

A bowl of M & M is very tasty, and most people like it, including me. When you're watching television, M & M is a perfect companion. But after reading this article you might want to think again before eating "melt-in-your-mouth-not-in-hand you" chocolate.

History of M & M:

Brown grain is first made in 1941 and has now been circulated to more than 100 countries with 33 different types. In the beginning, M & M was created for the US Army, allowing them to carry anywhere without the chocolate melts.

The two "M" is for William F.R. Murrie and Forrest E. Mars, Sr. William was the son of the president of Hershey chocolate that allows Mars to engage in the production of grain Hershey chocolate.

John Harvey Kellogg and his brother Will Kellogg came up with a cereal operation that they called the Sanitas Food Company in the early 1890s. While experimenting around, Will made an unsweetened taste of cereal that sold 113,400 pounds in1896. In doing that, he kept the experimenting ongoing with flakes of corn which later would be called the Sanitas Toasted Corn Flakes. Then the sugar was added secretly in. John was furious so Will set out on his own creating what we know today at Kellogg’s Toasted Corn Flakes. Churning out 2,900 cases a day; the brothers became rivals and enemies, taking on another to court twice. After it all, Will came on top and on December 11, 1922, he named his company as just “Kellogg’s”.…

Question 1: There are many factors that have enabled MMBC to create a strong brand. These include: taste, perceived quality, image, tradition, and authenticity. Taste is achieved through a selection of rare Bavarian hops and unusual strains of barley creating a defined Mountain Man quality. In addition, Mountain Man Lagers’ distinctively bitter flavor and higher alcohol content sets this beer apart from its competitors, which uniquely contributes to the company’s brand equity. To complement the richer stronger taste, a dark colored bottle is used to enhance perceived taste and quality. The 1925 original design of coal miners imprinted on the front promotes tradition, regional loyalty, and authenticity. By association the picture links the blue-collar worker to the image; therefore MMBC is able to target consumers of age 35+.…

Whenever I get a package of plain M&Ms, I make it my duty to continue the strength and robustness of the candy as a species. To this end, I hold M&M duels. Taking two candies between my thumb and forefinger, I apply pressure, squeezing them together until one of them cracks and splinters. That is the “loser,” and I eat the inferior one immediately. The winner gets to go another round. I have found that, in general, the brown and red M&Ms are tougher, and the newer blue ones are genetically inferior. I have hypothesized that the blue M&Ms as a race cannot survive long in the intense theater of competition that is the modern candy and snack-food world. Occasionally I will get a mutation, a candy that is misshapen, or pointier, or flatter than…

Gelatin was popularized in the west in the Victorian era with spectacular and complex "jelly moulds". Gelatin was sold in sheets and had to be purified, which was time-consuming. Gelatin desserts were the province of Royalty and the relatively well-to-do. In 1845, a patent for powdered gelatin was obtained by industrialist Peter Cooper, who built the first American steam-powered locomotive, the Tom Thumb.[2][3] This powdered gelatin was easy to manufacture…

The story of Kellogg’s takes us back to 1897 when two brothers, Will Keith Kellogg and John Harvey Kellogg, started the Sanitas Food Company. They produced whole grain cereals and marketed their corn flakes as a healthy breakfast food. Eventually, the brothers had an argument over the addition of sugar in their product. The two split, and Will founded his own company called the Battle Creek Corn Flake Company, which eventually became the Kellogg Company.…

It was horrible to see my kind getting eaten. For me, being an M&M myself, it was horrible to watch as the humans ate the many M&Ms that were not given a chance to enjoy their life here at the M&M world factory as I was. But then again no other M&M was ever created as beautiful as me. No other M&M can compare to my precise and exquisite shape. None other is as smooth nor has nicely rounded flattened edges as me, and none other shines as bright as me. It’s the same thing every day of the week, every hour between the hours of 10am through 12am. Hungry crazy chocolate loving, specifically M&M loving people come in to this palace where you can find prodigious tubes plastered to the wall full of M&Ms according to their unique bright color, colors so bright, and fun, and inviting that make you wonder what is underneath the glossy surface of that small flatten sphere shaped candy, a palace where even from opening the door to that place people can smell the sweet unmistakable smell of milk chocolate from outside. A smell that is not strong enough with just couple of these candies, but with a room filled like this, the smell amasses up to a strong enough smell for our senses to detect. Here people come in and treat themselves to these delicate bundles of joys found in the small brown packages.…

In the Middle Ages, since wheat was very expensive, many Europeans made bread from a mixture of barley and rye. The Spanish presented barley to South America in the 16th century, while the English and Dutch colonists of the 17th century brought it with them to the United States. “Today, the largest commercial producers of barley are Canada, the United States, the Russian Federation, Germany, France and Spain” (whfoods).…
