Abortion is the termination of an unborn baby’s life, while in its mother’s womb. This could be done at different times of pregnancy, from the day after conception, to the day that the baby is expected. Whether they are the same or not is argued about by opposing stances on the subject. There are two opposite stances on abortion. These stances are pro-choice and pro-life. Pro-choice supporters think of abortion as neither good or bad, but as a choice. They believe that abortion is a useful tool to make life easier for mothers who do not want their children. The majority of abortions come from un-married women. Schools must begin to teach the dangers of sex more seriously, and show high schoolers the dangers of pre-marital sex. If an un-married high school couple has sex and ends up pregnant, it will either wind up in an abortion, or an extremely hard life for all three of them. If the couple does choose to keep the child, the mother will be forced to drop out of school, and the father to work extra hours after school to afford to pay for the child. Having a child at a young age also may cause the couple to begin to argue and fight. This leads to the man leaving the woman and child on their own. Knowing this, a couple is more likely to consider having an abortion in the first place. Even married couples must be sure they are ready to have a child before intercourse. A lot of abortions come from recently married couples who did not participate in safe sex. These couples are excited to be married and finally sleep together, but are not ready to start a family. While sex is a gift from God that married couples are meant to enjoy, these couples do not realize that it is still not morally right to participate in it if they are not ready for a child.
