I am Bethany Hamilton. I am a professional surfer and sponsored by Rip curl. I grew up in the tropical Hawaiian Islands. I learned to surf at the age of five. I was attacked by a Tiger shark one morning in the light blue sea. The surgery was on my left arm and it is a short stub at the edge of my shoulder.
