Assignment 1: Refurbishing a Classroom
For this assignment you will be given data about a classroom which is to be refurbished. You will need to choose suitable furniture and carpet for the room. You will also need to keep within a given budget and make sure that all the furniture will fit comfortably in the room. This assignment needs to be carefully planned and you have to show a logical progression when completing each given task. You do not have to form a hypothesis, but you will need to prove that you have stayed within budget and that your furniture is suitable and will fit in the classroom. -3873558623You will need to include a copy of the data sheet you use (on the next page). You have been tasked with refurbishing a classroom in St Albans. The classroom needs to be suitable for 30 pupils and one teacher. It also needs some storage and a suitable floor covering. For this task you have a budget of £4000. With this budget you need to buy the following things; One teacher’s desk

One teacher’s chair
Two storage cupboards
30 pupil chairs
Table to seat 30 pupils
Suitable floor covering
The diagram below (not to scale) shows the dimensions of the classroom and the position of the door. You will need to consider where best to position the furniture to allow easy movement around the room with suitable size walkways between the desks. 12319001430786m
