Who Moved My Cheese

Cheese is a symbol for what you want to have in life – whether it is a good job, a loving relationship, money, or spiritual peace of mind. Cheese is what we think will make us happy, and when circumstances take it away, different people deal with change in different ways. The Four characters in this story represent different parts of us whenever we are confronted with change. Four characters, Hem, Haw, Sniff and Scurry live in a maze and look for cheese to nurture them and make them happy. The maze is where you spend time looking for what you want. It may be the organization you work in, the relationships you have in your life, or the community you live in. Whatever part of us we choose, we all share the common need to find our way in the maze of life and succeed in changing times. In the story Who Moved My Cheese, there are many hidden words of wisdom, some of them including:
Anticipate change.
Enjoy change.
Be ready to change quickly, again and again.
Having Cheese makes you happy.
When you see that you can find and enjoy New Cheese, you change course.
Noticing small changes early helps you adapt to the bigger changes that are to come.

I was so frightened to move on and get out of my comfort zone also because I was afraid to leave someone and try to look for something better in life. As soon as I let go of my relationship and let go of my fears, or in this case “old cheese”, I started fresh and my life got better. I realized that things could be better and not worse and there is always “new cheese” out there. Now I am a better person and I have learned many things out of getting out of my comfort zone.

Haw realized He needed to let go of his fears. He realized what lies out there could be a lot better, not worse, and to learn these
