Karma Strikes and Miracles Rescue

I have many beliefs— having fun, changing lives, laughing, or just simply smiling to others. But those are all small beliefs that we all have. But my belief is stopped short when it comes to karma.

It was a tremendous spring break; beautiful flowers I have never seen before blooming outside the side window of the church. Who would have known karma could strike on an amazing spring day. I was sitting in the pews lost in thought that I didn’t even know that the preacher asked me a question. I looked up to see what he wanted. When I didn’t answer he just turned and begins preaching about daily sins, and karma. When I look to my right, Ancelinna was trying to conceal her smile while mom was throwing spears at me with her eyes; knowing I was going to get a stupid lecture about paying attention after mass.

What does she expect from a five year old? To listen? No way! Anyway, as I turned my attention back to the preacher he was still talking about the same thing, repeating karma over and over. As soon as mass was over, Ancelinna and I walked to the side of the church where rocks, flowers, and sand laid. No one is allowed there due to the rock sliding of huge rocks the size of a cow.

As we both climb over the fence, barking dogs approach the other end where we just climbed from. Ancelinna and I ran until we reached the ladder top to the balcony of the church side. I jumped onto the small balcony helping Ancelinna up. Thankfully we haven’t got caught or we would have gotten the spanking of our lives. We high fived each other and decided to fool around.

We grabbed three huge rocks and chucked it at the pigs’ heads, which were sitting by the beach shore. We laughed stirring up trouble as usual. We stayed up there for about an hour playing truth or dare. It was now my turn to be dared. Ancelinna

Arms I am seven years old again, twirling around in some frilly dress my mother picked out on a February night for the annual Girl Scouts Father-Daughter Dance. I dance in a circle with my closest friends to whoever the popular singer was at the time - probably Hilary Duff or Britney Spears. I act embarrassed of my father wanting to join in, but I know that when a slow song comes on, I will jump at the opportunity to show off my dad’s dance moves as I follow along, standing on his feet. I am sixteen…

there right next to you. I unfortunetaly learned the hard way that is not the case. I did learn that my family will be there no matter what happens in my life. Parents are there to put food on the table, take care of the kids, and make sure they are doing the best they can for their child/children. I believe that family loves you no matter what: if you mess up, get injured, basically anything that happens to you, you can go to your family for help. On January 16th 2011, I was with my two brothers…

puff.” And from that day forward I started smoking black and mild’s, which lead to a daily routine. In high school, I never thought I would smoke nor drink, until I went to college. Being in high school, I always thought drinking and smoking was unhealthy. It leads to more serious problems that you cannot control. I was always the bigger person out of my group of friends, who would tell them right from wrong, about how unhealthy it was. It was even one point in time; I went as far as researching and…

This I Believe I believe that people need to take more time to appreciate the little things in life. This is my belief because sometimes the smallest things in life can mean the most to you. Take for example if one of your family members or close friends pass away and you have something to remember them by. The item you may have may be useless to someone else but to you it means the world. The little things in life may be some of the things that get you through your everyday routine. They could…

“Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience.” --Paulo Coelho This, I believe that everyone was conceived for a certain purpose in life. Now the question is whether you are more willing to fulfill that purpose or not? Tis better to appraise what one has and is in life than contemplating now and then how life should have been, and will be. In other words, living as if today was the last day, as if nothing matters in your life, will possibly help one endure things like stress, anxiety…

Kaila Hammonds Confidence is key I believe in confidence. Being confident in others and myself. I believe confidence can help you achieve greater things. If I am confident in myself, others will be confident in me as well. Confidence can either be gained or lost. Being confident with myself and others effects things I do daily such as giving presentations or talking to other people. If I wasn’t as confident as I am now, doing easy tasks such as those would be difficult. Growing up, things…

Jonathan Yun This I Believe… Have you ever wanted to make a difference? I have and I believe that everyone should be treated equally. No one should be treated differently just because of their physical feature, their mental disabilities, and if they practice and preach a certain religion. I believe that no matter what race you are, how slow you learn, or if you’re Buddhist or Christian everyone should be treated the same and equally. There was a point and time where I, myself struggled with…
