Ruiff Monster Monologue
“A campsite!” we shouted, we all went over to the trailers as my hand got closer to one of the knobs we heard a growling noise.
“Where is that coming from?” gina asked as I started walking steadily around back.
“Ummm, should we go back there?” jenny asked as i peeked over the corner, I grabbed a shard of long sharp glass, put my sock on the not sharp end and held it like a knife.
“RUFF RUFF RUFF GRRRRRRUFF,” we all flinched at the same time. I jumped sideways ays to get a view of the creature. As i looked at the tree I saw a dog, towering over me like my father when i was six. Then i noticed something off about it… it had a bloody, bodiless, shred of skin in the teeth and a hose running near a skeleton. so i came back around to the girls freaking out about the dog.

Days and nights would pass by with Barbara unable to spot any difference in between. The routine had been formed; she’d wake up, go to work, visit the elderly house, return home to sleep. Repeat. Barbara at the age of 30 was worn out and exhausted. Her mother’s death had scarred her deeply, her children hated her and her husband had left her for some woman he had found at some bar.…

He had found the poor lab in an alleyway with bruises up and down its body. But it had love in its eyes, he thought. The Pit Bull had no empathy. That was the difference between them. It had begun moving slowly at the tent. The boy quickly bit off a piece of duct tape and wrapped his dog’s wound. It would take both of them. The menacing terrier broke into a sprint with gnashing teeth. The boy had no weapons but his fists and friend. His dog braved and lunged at the beast. The boy did as well, punching, kicking, and yelling. The creature probably weighed twice what he did. His dog let out a cry, but he could not tell if it was owing to the preexisting injury or a fresh wound. He could barely see through his drenched hair and the sheets of rain. The beast, unfeeling, did not yelp when he caught its jaw with a sharp blow. It simply paused, stared at him, and backed away slowly. It seemed bewildered, but its beady eyes exhibited no signs of pain. It was…

I started by asking Mr. and Mrs. Smith what they remembered about the night. The mother hesitantly replied saying her son had told her that he heard weird footsteps before he was attacked. She then started to weep from the realization that the footsteps were from the attacker. As her husband tried to comfort his grieving wife, I asked him what was taken from the house. He thought for a moment and then replied, “Nothing, not a God damn thing.”…

Tyler sat in the car waiting, he was anticipating everything to go wrong at any given moment, that always happened. We will probably hit a moose or something, he thought as Tyler, and his dad were driving through the British Columbia rockies, driving to where they would eventually set up camp, in a forested area. Two of his friends were going to meet him there, as long as everything went according to plan, which it seemed to never do. But after five and a half hours of driving, they finally made it. Tyler dropped out of the small SUV and looked around at his surroundings, their campsite was small, about the size of a large classroom, with trees as tall as giants surrounding them, down…
