Dear David Frazier:
The teacher that impacted my life is known by the name of Mrs.Michion. She taught reading my second grade year at Crockett Elementary back in 2002 through 2003. Mrs.Michion is a very kind hearted woman that took her time to observe how her students were doing with reading, writing, and spelling. There was never a time you could not ask her for help, in a particular task you were currently trying to achieve.
I remember one time Mrs.Michion, my mother and I had a conversation, about my behavior in class and on how well I approached things. She pointed out to my mother that I had a hard time completing some task when she asked, due to me being off task sometimes and that my mother should look into taking me to the doctor. That same day my mother scheduled me for an appointment the following week. Come to find out I had a Attention Deficit Disorder and had to take medicine for it I never understood why until now. A senior in high school, I see that if Mrs.Michion have not pointed that out at the time I would have been struggling to finish school. I am thankful I had her for my teacher, without her I wouldn’t be graduating in three months.
I never got the chance to thank her for everything she has done for me. I remember that same year she told everyone of her students that she was retiring to help her husband build his company up. Ever since then I have never been able to get back in contact with her.

Sincerely,

Hira-Asha Prem

What made Mrs. scardamaglia so special? She cared for her students, by helping us with bullying problems in the school because there was a bully in our class. First whenever there was a problem school related or not she would help us out and bring us to the rug and talk us through it. Also she helped out students if we were stuck on problems during school of for something after school. She also emailed our parents if she was concerned about us or how we're doing in class. Mrs. scardamaglia also taught us in a fun way by, playing games related to the subject like, bingo for math or jeopardy for ELA. She would also come up with songs or fun rhymes related to the subject. Another thing Mrs. scardamaglia did was tell us funny…

Biszewski never says a bad word about her students. If there was an issue, she would work it out. She heard all sides and showed fairness to all involved. No matter what a student of hers did, she always had their back and would never say a negative word. We were always her students. She attended our sporting events, fundraisers, and even worked the beer tent at our carnivals. She got to know our families and we knew all about hers. Mrs. Biszewski’s dedication to us for so many years, her love for her students, and her ability to make learning fun made her my favorite teacher and one I will always…

Firstly, I began missing school a lot starting in October. I missed 20 days throughout the fall semester of junior year alone. I had lots of homework o make up due to all of my absences and Mrs. Henrey was very helpful in helping me succeed with the homework I missed. Mrs. Henrey went out of her way to help me. She would have me come into her classroom during lunch so that I would not have to sit in the cafeteria, which was very loud, to help me concentrate on homework. She also tried to help me understand what I was missing even if it was a class she was not teaching. Mrs. Henrey was an English teacher and she would repeatedly try and me with other classes such as Calculus and Childhood Development even though that was not her field of expertise. She was very helpful in keeping…

After the term 3 holidays in Grade four, I was introduced to the dreaded visiting teacher. This lady, who I refused to acknowledge as a wonderful life-saver, got me out of doing long division after recess, came to visit and aid me in making the best of the services my hearing aids offered me every week. These special visits were never my favourite and at some point I remember plotting numerous ways to prevent her from coming to my school. As I look back almost six years into those flip phone days, I realise the tremendous effort it took for her to travel almost an hour to visit a young girl only to have her kind advice shunned by a bratty kid.…

Halfway through my senior year he told us he was diagnosed with stage four cancer and suddenly the thought of losing such a thoughtful and caring teacher became too real. During the second half of the year he rarely made an appearance, but when he did, he was full of cheerfulness and positivity that overwhelmed not only me, but my whole class. I began to spend more time with him learning about his life and all the adventures he had been on. At the end of the year for my leadership class, I was asked to make a teacher appreciation card, and without even thinking about it I began to write mine addressed to Dr. Albright.…

Olsen. My reading level slowly got better and better. By third grade I was still pulled out of the classroom but instead of just being Mrs. Olsen and me, there were also other kids that struggled with reading too. In the beginning of fourth grade, I was tested to see if I would go back into reading recovery again. I passed the test with reading levels above my grade so I graduated from reading recovery. Mrs. Olsen changed my life because now I love to read and before reading used to make me hate having to go to school. I never thought anyone would be able to make that big of an impact on my life but she did. That made me want to become a teacher and make a difference in someone life like she made in mine. A problem today is that there are tons of students that don’t have the extra help or teachers that are willing to do everything in their power to make that difference for the student. I would like to help solve this problem by becoming a teacher and give my students everything I can to help them and hopefully make a different like Mrs. Olsen made. Not being able to read ended up teaching me to never give up, things take time, and the best way to have a problem solved is to find someone that is willing to help make a difference and stick with it. I found a problem in my life and now I am ready to make a difference and solve that…

When my mother arrived for the conference the teacher explained how much better Lora was doing in class and that she was glad that my mother had taken her advice and had gotten Lora some help for her ADHD. This was when my mother explained to the teacher that she had “not” taken her advice and instead found that it was actually her absence from being at work that was the problem. I remember my mother returning home with an almost victorious glow about her and commending my sister for all her hard work. This was followed by a conversation with me about my grades slipping so that is why I remember it so…

One name in particular stands firm among others and that is Mr. Jesse L. Barrett. Mr. Barrett was my English II Honors teacher my sophomore year in high school. Sadly, he was only my English teacher for one year. I honestly could not have asked for a better teacher. At the same time as making me smile and laugh, he ultimately helped me to be successful in life. Initially, I did not enjoy English as much anymore due to a bad string of teachers who lectured endlessly on random topics other than English. He changed my outlook on life and helped me regain my passion for English. Mr. Barrett motivated me to not settle for mediocre work and to do my absolute best in anything I strived for. I never imagined that I would encounter a teacher that was as meticulous as Mr. Barrett. Everything he did had a specific place and order. He never accepted late work because we were in an honors class that required you to be punctual. This taught me how to be prompt, a skill that will help when I attend college next fall.…

On the first day of seventh grade, I met the woman who changed my behavior and view on school. That day, in my supplemental skills class, I wasn’t following anything that my teacher said and she noticed. She called me to her desk and started to have a conversation with me. She knew me, but I had no idea who she was other than the name on the plaque. She said she was the head of a camp that I used to go to and that my…

First I want to tell you with whom I honor, with whom I have, learned to respect, and who deserve the outmost admirations. The teachers I am talking about work hard to do a great job, because, above all, it is a kind of responsibility so to speak towards their students and relevantly toward themselves. I have had several teachers in my years as a student both in the primary and secondary schools among which there were only few whom I felt to fit the description above, maybe most of them were good in their own way, but one cannot be sufficient in all ways or I may also have misunderstood them. However, the teacher that I chose as deserving of the “My Favorite Teacher” earned this title due to the care she showed to each of her students through her teaching, personality, and the all the fun had in her class is Ms. Fleming my writing teacher. Ms. Fleming is an open minded, caring person who seemed to love what she is doing. Ms. Fleming is more than a teacher to me; she is a person you could go to with a problem and she would try and help you find the answer. She would help you, but expected you to put the work into finding out for yourself how to do something. She always came across as someone who cared about every student as if they were her “children”. Ms. Fleming is like a book that gives you the right information that would help you on getting a six on the FCAT writing. About 95% of her student’s agree that Ms. Fleming spent each day preparing us for the FCAT writing in thirteen days. The first time I walked into the classroom I notice a flaming red headed teacher sitting down. I thought that she would be a boring, and mean teacher giving her student’s a lot of homework and essays to write. Every word that comes out of her mouth sounds like music to my brain. When it comes to teaching she doesn’t let out a lot of stress, most of the stress comes from whether or not her student’s would receive a four or higher on the FCAT writing. When I’m in class Ms. Fleming have…
