The Agony of Growing Old

Many people have a tremendous dread of growing old. A great deal of activity during the working years is aimed at preventing as many of the problems of old age as possible: dependency on others, lack of money, boredom, ill health, and so forth. The very fear of the problems of old age often make mental and physical wrecks of people, they become old before their time. Old age is a mental attitude as well as a physical problem. People tremble when you discuss old age. Next to the subject of death, it is the least favorite topic. There are many ways people try to postpone old age. They try various products to keep on looking and feeling young. They try traveling to relieve boredom and to give a sense of fulfillment. They use gadgets and programs to postpone old age. In the dictionary old age is defined as the last period of human life, how often considered to be the years after 65. To me old age can to define in many ways. It can be a specified age in your culture that says you are old age or it can be a number you give yourself to say your old age. To many people age is just a number. Many are still carefree about aging. Aging become an issue when your body starts to show signs of age. I think this happens more to women than men because more women want to stay looking younger and think the signs of aging looks bad. I take aging as you are getting smart and have been thought more. As for who decides what number old age is, I think the government. The reason for this because they put an age restriction on when you can withdraw your money or when you can get your Medicare. So when people have to use sources like Medicare think I am too old to do anything and happiness starts to decrease. To me the only person judge if you are old age is yourself. It is what you make of it. Once you reach the age of 65 (the number the government declares as old age) this should be your golden age.
