These rights give individuals to the freedom of expression of thought and to have a private life, protection and safety from torture, slavery, abuse, unfair treatment, dignity, access information about themselves and to be able to use a preferred method of communication and language. They also should be able to recognise what the user or patient is able to do, and should always encourage them to make choices in their lives so they are still in control of themselves so they will feel good. This not only makes the user/patient feel good about them but also helps support the service user's rights to be cared in the way they need to be.
