Orientation Power Point:

Questions should be directive and closed ended. In this survey the questions asked are not directive questions, but moderately open ended questions that would discourage a user from completing the survey. When the questions are not specific it would give feedback that is not what key decision makers are seeking. The wording of the questions is equally adequate for the responses needed; but, they could be more designed to yield desired results. This method could motivates users to not only complete the survey, but also provide honest and reliable feedback.…

The majority of the responder’s responses to the initial survey questions results were (1) very negative and (2) negative. This represents that the work condition at BIMS is unsatisfactory to BIMS employees. Management needs to respond to this feedback by obtaining more participation in survey. A larger group of responders will assist management in obtaining a more accurate assessment of the way BIMS employees feel. BIMS management can accomplish the participation of employees by making the survey mandatory and holding the management team responsible for collecting the surveys from the employees under his or her direct supervision. In addition to gathering and examining the results of the…

One of the most prominent studies in many companies whether big or small is about job satisfaction. Job satisfaction as described by many is a degree of contentment of an individual employee or worker. It could be on specific, few or many aspects of a relationship between employee-employer relationship, salary pay, benefits, administrative services for employees and many others. Job satisfaction is usually measured by the use of rating scales where employees describe their feedbacks to their job environment, salary pay increase, nature of work, employer-employee relationship, seminars and trainings, promotional opportunities, bonuses (required and incentive bonuses), fringe benefits, amount of authority to run programs, administrative supervisors, and level of challenge and opportunity for growth provided by the job, health and safety among others. Some studies require an employee to response on “yes” or “no” options and some studies require him to rate himself on the basis of the scale 1-5 (where 1 is considered no satisfaction at all while 5 is considered most satisfied). Job satisfaction is important to companies large and small. Some companies considered this as basis of their hiring or terminating an employee but some considered this as essential tool of strategic planning and development.…

In the past few months we at BIMS have learned, thru the drop in employees that the company’s employee morale was dwindling. So, to help the company boosts the employees’ morale and company image, we decided as a whole in management by collecting data from those that are directly responsible for or affected by the issues, the research should lead them to some resolution to fix the problems we are facing with the turnover in employees. We gave surveys to 449 staff members. The survey collected information on attitudes, opinions, and levels of satisfaction from the staff. We used the levels used nominal, ordinal, and interval levels of measurement for the questions. 449 employees were given surveys, and only 78 turned in the survey, which was less than 18% of the employees. The surveys had flaws and they were biased, causing them to not contain enough input to implement any changes.…

The intent for the new survey is to analyze and interpret the new data from the second survey prior to making suggestions to senior management regarding the source of employee dissatisfaction prior to creating a model that predicts employee resignation.…

In our discussion we have decide to have the survey conducted by a third party, this will help keep the survey non-bias. We have determined that the survey should have no more than ten questions and they should be worded to be precise so we can get the answers we need. We need to make sure there are no special events happening before the survey so it will not influence employee’s answers. We feel that the question should be more than yes/no answers, they should be set as scale from strongly agree to strongly disagree. Also there should be an area for additional comments. I would also suggest that we take the survey first to make sure we will get the results we are looking for.…
