8.0 VIDEO RESUME (VISUME)

1.0 INTRODUCTION

In line with the rapid growth of technology today, there is a new resume format which is trending, ie video resume (visume) or also known as video CV. A video resume is a short video, usually 1-3 minutes, created by a candidate for employment and uploaded to the Internet for prospective employers to review. The video resume showcases the individual's skills and experience and is typically used to supplement the traditional text-based resume.

It is ideal to use for job opportunities that require public speaking, interpersonal skills or creative technical skills. However, do not expect your video resume to replace your traditional resume. Not all employment opportunities are appropriate venues for a video resume. Conservative workplace may prefer a traditional paper resume, whereas an advertising or fashion design company may prefer a creative video resume.

No one will doubt that you are motivated when you deliver a professional video resume to show your personality, skills, and creativity to a potential employer. Every recruiter will be impressed by your passion.
A video resume can be very helpful if you are looking for positions with heavy client interaction. It can give the hiring manager an idea of how you will deal with clients, how you portray trustworthiness and interpersonal skills, and how well you can sell.

Discuss why you would be a good employee and what you can do for the company once you are hired. Present your key attributes. Do not go into too much detail. Focus on your professional endeavours, not
