Middle East

The middle east is characterized by several features that makes it a unique part of the

world. The middle east is considered as the ancient world where the ancient Egyptians

lived and built their magnificent pyramids.in addition, The Middle Eastern region, like

every other, is socially constructed based on race, language and religion. The region,

which by most accounts spans from Morocco to Iran, is called the Middle East as a

reference to its geographic relationship to Europe and East Asia (not western, nor far

eastern). The place is lumped into a single region because the majority shares an ethnicity

(Arab), religion (Islam) and language (Arabic, though Iran speaks Persian. What makes it

difficult for foreigners to come in close contact to the middle east and discover the culture

of their locals is the fact that it is an unstabilized part of the world which went through

lots of wars thought history example of these wars are the war between Egypt and Israel,

iraq and Iran and a huge number of countless wars throughout the history of the Middle.

east. Furthermore, the middle east is the part of the world where oil was first discovered,

The word Islam in Arabic means the submission and surrender to Allah, which is the

Arabic word for God. Million of people around the world nowadays have lots of

misconceptions about Islam. The biggest misconception of Islam is the believe that

Islam promotes killing and is basically a religion of terrorism. This misconception is

created by the media, as it only shows the minority who does not understand the

true Islam. There are billions of people around the world who are true Muslims , but

they do not appear on TV , because they are normal people and nothing is

interesting about them. Islam does not promote aggression it actually goes against

the idea of terrorism and that is clearly stated in the holly Quran in many verses

such as "fight in the way of Allah those that fight you but do not transgress limits for

god does not love transgressors" which means do not fight except in self defense

and even in doing so do not go beyond defense.

What unifies the whole middle east is that people over their share a comment

language and religion.

Moving to another point , the misconceptions that western

community has about women in the middle east is that they are not well-educated,

neglected in their community and have no important role to play. However, this is a

very big misconception. Women in the middle east are very well-educated there are

teachers, engineers , doctors and even ministers who are females in all over the

Arabic world. Women since the beginning of Islam till now are considered an

essential part of the Arab community.Islam was like Christianity and Judaism that

developed as a monotheistic religion. Qur’an, the holy book for Muslims, states that men

and women are equal, but also, as in 4:34, which “Men are the protectors and maintainers

of women, because Allah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they

spend from their means. “Women in Islam” is one of the cases that people were arguing

about. Women have to be chaste and treated with gentleness and limitation from their

men. Muhammad and Khadija were a good example in how men and women should get

along with. Khadija is represented as a typical role for women in the Qur'an. Muhammad

was always consulted with his wives, especially with Aisha. Muslim families are learning

from Muhammad experiences with his wives. Muhammad had obligatory on his wives

must be the typical example for all Muslim women performance. Spain as it used to be

called Al-Andalus was a site of constant challenge and rivalry. There were different
