Question#1
An example of differentiation in the company would have to be that the IT department has 68 employees working in the division but it is separated by specialization. Jt only has five employees who report to him. Integration was used when Jt suggested that the managers require all the IT employees input their information the wiki to better serve the company.

Question #2 Authority was used when JT took the role and suggested that all authorized personnel have access to the work that has already been completed and the software that was available. He took role and started working with his employees first showing them the ropes of the wiki. He then spoke with higher level managers who took the information back to the CIO of the company.
Question #3
Coordination was used when JT realized that he could only authorize those that reported to him he began to show them the wiki project. After introducing the project to his employees he then took the information to the middle –managers . He was even able to persuade the manager that wiki could be used for performance as well.
A great manager is one who leads by example. The manager would act as a facilitator as well as being in the background making the necessary adjustments to the small things in order to keep the organization running smoothly. A manager who is striving for greatness will lead by example working side by side with his or her employees so that they understand that although they are the manager they are still humble. Furthermore, a manager can drive individuals towards their goals by pulling together resources and people to make it happen. Managers make decisions, are action –oriented, have clarity, they inspire, they are about the goal. In conclusion, a great manager is not defined by a title. The manager’s role is defined by their ability to assess a situation and make the necessary adjustments that everyone meets the specific goal of the organization.

    For some reasons, the managers’ positions have been seen in a negative way for many years. However, this does not change the essentiality of this position in any organization, especially in business set-ups. There have been a constant confusion between the role of leaders and managers, and what should be clearly established is that these two roles do not share the same meaning. Being a manager does not guarantee that one is already a good leader. However, leaders can be effective managers.
