Kuala Selangor
INTRODUCTION * Kuala Selangor is a town located in Selangor. * There are some famous attractions such as Melawati Hill, Kuala Selangor Nature Park, Kampung Kuantan Fireflies and Pasir Penambang. * There is a Sekinchan Paddy Field near to Kuala Selangor.

BODY/CONTENT a) In the late of 18th century, Sultan of Selangor built a fort in Melawati Hill to protect the state from intruders. * We can overlook Kuala Selangor and The Strait of Malacca from the hill. * There are some historical things at Melawati Hill are the cannons, light house and the others. * The monkey is the favourite attraction for tourists.

b) Kuala Selangor Nature Park is a well known nature park for migratory birds. * The migratory birds come here normally around September until April of the following year. * There are different types of migratory birds from China, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan and the other countries. * According to the park officers, the best time to watch the bird is before the sunshine or after the sunset, whenever the weather is cool.

c) Kampung Kuantan Fireflies is well known internationally for its special characteristic - fireflies. * There are 4 people in a boat rowed by a rower to see the fireflies on mangrove trees along the river. * The billion of fireflies on mangrove trees looks like the twinkling Christmas Trees. * But, visitors are not allowed to take photograph because the flash from camera will scare away the fireflies.

d) Pasir Penambang is a small fishing village which known for its seafood. * There are a lot of seafood restaurants which serve delicious food with low price. * There is a small seafood market where tourists can buy fresh and cheap seafood from there. * There are also some shops sell local products.

e) After 20 minutes drive from Kuala Selangor, there is a town call Sekinchan where is also the “ricebowl” of Selangor.
